Your work will span critical areas of the platform, including transaction monitoring (fraud and anti-money laundering), Know Your Customer (KYC), Know Your Business (KYB), suspicious activity reporting (SAR), account verification, as well as continuing to expand the scope of customer data within the platform.</p> <p>Our ideal candidate is curious and enthusiastic about those areas as well as the broader FinTech ecosystem (but may not have worked in it before!) and takes a product and customer-minded approach to solving engineering challenges, particularly when working with those outside of product and engineering.</p> <h2><strong>What You’ll Do</strong></h2> <ul> <li>Develop application services in Go (Golang)</li> <li>Work with the product team and other engineers to understand financial services challenges and develop solutions to address them</li> <li>Be a leader on the ground and in the code</li> <li>Keep learning, keep growing and help your team do the same</li> <li>Determine process improvements, best practices, and develop new processes</li> <li>Envision cleaner, simpler ways to solve problems</li> <li>Keep learning, keep growing and help your team do the same</li> <li>Work in close partnership with cross-functional teams</li> <li>Mentor Software Engineers to allow for skill/knowledge development through advice, coaching, and training opportunities<strong><br /></strong></li> </ul> <h2><strong>What You’ll Bring</strong></h2> <ul> <li>4-6+ years of professional experience working as a Software Engineer</li> <li>Prior experience with Go</li> <li>Experience with PostgreSQL or other relational databases</li> <li>Experience in using and creating RESTful APIs, which will be consumed by our frontend engineers and our customers</li> </ul> <h2><strong>Our Stack</strong></h2> <p>Our platform is built in Go (for backend services) and React with Typescript (for the Synctera Console, our frontend). The range informed in this job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries across all US and Canadian locations.
