Are you able to quickly adapt and learn to be productive with new languages, operating systems, and tools?  </li><li>Think like a customer: Central to our products is our understanding of our customers’ needs and requirements.  Do you consider UX in your decision making, and think like a customer?  </li><li>Have tech chops: You need to be ready to get into the weeds on complex technology solutions and be willing to identify the right tool for the right solution, not simply falling back on what you’re comfortable with. </li></ul></div><div> </div><div>Essential Responsibilities: </div><div><ul><li>Be a leading architect for a few development teams through all phases of the Agile development life cycle   </li><li>Rapid prototyping through mindful use of company resources and tech stacks </li><li>Design solutions to business needs by documenting systems, data, and business logic of an end-to-end business process. </li><li>Influence and collaborate with software developers, UX designers, product managers application architects, and customer application experts to create amazing apps  </li><li>Ensure compliance with architecture, security and technology standards set by Synchrony </li><li>Assist in crafting and maintaining the future state technology architectural strategy and roadmap  </li><li>Participate in Agile scrums consisting of cross-functional teams  </li><li>Participate in addressing root cause analyses, incident reports and provide direction in problem resolution  </li><li>Ability to analyze production defects, troubleshoot systems, identify root cause, and implement fixes  </li><li>Provide 24x7 on-call support periodically throughout the year </li><li>Passionate about the latest technologies, open source projects and languages   </li><li>Identify ways to increase efficiency and improve system performance  </li><li>Work with third party vendors to develop software and/or integrate their software into the companys products  </li><li>Perform other duties and/or special projects as assigned.</li></ul></div></div><div><div> </div><div>Qualifications/Requirements: </div><div><ul><li>Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related degree and a minimum of 5 years of solution architecture experience OR, in lieu of degree, High School Diploma/GED with 7 years of experience with solution architecture experience.  </li><li>Strong solution architecture skills and experience designing complex technical solutions </li><li>Familiarity with microservices, event-driven architecture and cloud native design patterns  </li><li>Understanding of modern web front end frameworks like ReactJS </li><li>Java development skills are a plus  </li><li>Familiarity with JSON, REST and XML based web services </li><li>Strong communication skills with technical and non-technical peers  </li></ul></div></div><div><div> </div><div>Desired Characteristics: </div><div><ul><li>Strong cross-functional team player with the ability to work seamlessly across a matrix organization </li><li>Desire to work in a dynamic, fast paced environment   </li><li>Strong interpersonal skills with ability to influence clients, team members, management and external groups, including challenging opinions </li><li>Strong attention to detail in a team environment  </li><li>Strong oral and written communication, analytical and problem-solving skills  </li><li>Ability to analyze, use structured problem solving and available tools to troubleshoot systems, identify root cause, action plans, impact and resolution options  </li><li>Excellent interpersonal skills with ability to influence clients, team members, management and external groups, with a particular focus on storytelling </li><li>Being comfortable with ambiguity and rapidly changing priorities </li></ul></div><div> Grade/Level: 11The salary range for this position is 115,000.00 -
