As a Field Maintenance Trainer, you will become the system expert, with a specialized focus on the mechanical, PLC, electrical, and electronic subsystems that power our robotic systems. This role is essential in ensuring that our maintenance teams are fully equipped to handle the complexities of our cutting-edge technology. </div><div> </div><div>What we do  </div><div>The Field Maintenance Trainer is a vital member of the Customer Operations organization. In this role, you will be responsible for traveling to customer sites to lead the training, coaching, and development of both Symbotic and client personnel. Training will include a blend of classroom instruction and hands-on experience. The Field Operations Training team plays a crucial role in ensuring the development and success of our employees at customer locations. </div><div> </div><div>What you’ll do </div><div><ul><li>The position is responsible for designing, creating, and delivering training programs.  </li></ul></div><div><ul><li>Product training, process training, and technical training support to sites and internally when required. </li></ul></div><div><ul><li>Train on-site personnel with use of Symbotic equipment. </li></ul></div><div><ul><li>Escalate customer related issues to the appropriate departments and product owners. </li></ul></div><div><ul><li>Provide support to other customers at the direction of the Manager, Field Training. </li></ul></div><div><ul><li>Implement methods for evaluating training against the needs of the business. </li></ul></div><div><ul><li>Consult with management, employees, project leads and departments to identify ongoing training needs. </li></ul></div><div><ul><li>Suggest improvements to training events, programs, and material to improve effectiveness and meet evolving needs of the business. </li></ul></div><div><ul><li>Acquire, maintain, and actively provide working knowledge of all products and processes. </li></ul></div><div><ul><li>Become Subject Matter Expert on Symbotic RoverPick Bots </li></ul></div><div><ul><li>Identify methods and opportunities to make diagnoses &amp; repairs cost efficient. </li></ul></div></div><div><div><ul><li>Train and develop the plant electricians to increase their ability to understand and troubleshoot controls related issues in the plant. </li></ul></div><div><ul><li>Debug PLC/Robot/HMI program to improve existing automated process. </li></ul></div><div><ul><li>Be an active member of the maintenance team while on-site. </li></ul></div><div><ul><li>Other duties as assigned. </li></ul></div><div> </div><div>What you’ll need </div><div><ul><li>Bachelors degree required or equivalent work experience  </li></ul></div><div><ul><li>Minimum of 3 years industrial controls experience. </li></ul></div><div><ul><li>Experience with DDC (direct digital control) systems, control theory, and robotics such as ABB or Fanuc. </li></ul></div><div><ul><li>Experience with Allen Bradley RSLogix 5000, RSLogix 500, and FactoryTalk View development software. </li></ul></div><div><ul><li>Knowledge of advanced sensor programming, including scanners, distance sensors, encoders. </li></ul></div><div><ul><li>High level of PLC/Robot troubleshooting (programming experience a plus) with strong electrical and mechanical aptitude. </li></ul></div><div><ul><li>Strong electrical troubleshooting experience using Schematics, Multimeter, Megohmmeter, Oscilloscope. </li></ul></div><div><ul><li>Ability to troubleshoot, replace, and modify HMIs and VFDs. </li></ul></div><div><ul><li>Ability to read mechanical, electrical and pneumatic drawings. </li></ul></div><div><ul><li>Basic understanding of Ladder Logic. </li></ul></div><div> </div><div>Our Environment </div><div><ul><li>Remote, field-based position   </li></ul></div><div><ul><li>Travel is required up to 75% of the time. Employee must have a valid driver’s license and the ability to drive and/or fly to client and other customer locations. </li></ul></div></div><div><div><ul><li>The employee is responsible for owning a credit card and managing expenses personally to be reimbursed on a bi-weekly basis. </li></ul></div><div><ul><li>Our headquarters is in Wilmington, MA. The person taking this position will be required to perform work at our customer installation locations for extended periods of time where equipment is installed and ready for commissioning.   </li></ul></div><div><ul><li>The employee is frequently required to walk and reach with hands and arms  </li></ul></div><div><ul><li>The employee is routinely required to work at heights of up to 45 feet and within restrictive areas of 24 inches. to stand; climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl  </li></ul></div><div><ul><li>The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds  </li></ul></div><div><ul><li>Must comply with all safety requirements and protocols, including without limitation Lock out tag out safety protocols and fall protection safety protocols.  </li></ul></div><div><ul><li>Approximately 75% of time will be spent on a construction site with PPE required (hard hat, safety vest, steel toes, eyeglasses, ear protection, fall protection (e.g., safety harness)  </li></ul></div><div><ul><li>There will be steep stairs to climb into the structure You may be required to routinely walk up and down stairs to navigate the automation structure. </li></ul></div><div><ul><li>You will regularly be near railings that are high off the ground  </li></ul></div><div><ul><li>Subject to environmental conditions, protection from weather conditions but not necessarily temperature changes. The compensation package includes medical, dental, vision, disability, 401K, PTO and/or other benefits.
