Job Description

   

The Enablement Activation Execution Specialist focuses on helping the SUSE go to market organization in the Partner EcoSystem Organization in their performance, productivity, and effectiveness. The effectiveness of enablement and revenue growth are accelerated by strengthening long-term readiness enablement and driving immediate impact with activation.

This role will work cross-functionally with marketing, sales, and product teams to ensure our sellers are well-prepared to grow pipeline and drive revenue. The Enablement Activation Execution Specialist is responsible for increasing deal velocity and sales effectiveness within their assigned sales organization by providing SUSEs sales teams with the necessary insights, content, tools, and training. They will also oversee the execution of SUSE Enablement programs and initiatives, ensuring alignment with the sales business rhythm.

 

The Partner Enablement Activation Specialist reports directly to the  Global Field Sales Enablement Lead.  You will also have “dotted” line reporting into the direct reports of the appropriate SUSE sales leaders and collaborate with crossfunctional leaders to contribute to the goals of the SUSE sales goals  being achieved or exceeded.

The Enablement Activation Execution Specialist will evaluate enablement programs, initiatives, and assets, and, with a deep understanding of sales needs, goals, and competencies, will execute appropriate enablement and activation as needed.

Focus Areas  

Partner Sales Enablement Execution

  • Collaborate with sales to identify gap analysis and identify enablement programs to solution the gaps. 

  • Assist in the development of enablement and activation content, materials, and resources, including sales playbooks, solution knowledge, objection handling guides, sales process optimization guides etc.

  • Execute training sessions (as needed)  and monitor training impact and effectiveness. 

  • Gather feedback, analyze, consolidate, and communicate results to create enablement post-mortems.

Partner Sales Activation Execution

  • Work with sales and partners on tactical execution, deal acceleration, and engagement at specific sales stages.

  • Re-enforce product launch knowledge consumption 

  • Assist in deal acceleration initiatives 

  • Identify pipeline acceleration & win-rate optimization opportunities. 

Sales Process Optimization:

  • Operationalize sales processes and methodologies initiatives. Suggest ways to streamline and enhance the sales cycle.

  • Provide guidance on the use of sales tools and technologies to improve efficiency and effectiveness.

  • Ensure that sales teams have access to up-to-date and relevant content.

  • Coach sales team members on the use of these sales productivity tools and enablement platforms.

Stakeholder Relationship:

  • Identifying & Mapping Stakeholders- participate in building a stakeholder engagement plan. 

  • Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to align on goals, strategies, and planning. Ensure stakeholders are informed of enablement and activation goals, strategies, and planning.

  • Promote Cross-Functional Collaboration- Establish or participate in  regular meetings and forums (e.g., steering committees, QBRs, and working groups).

  • Foster a feedback loop with sales teams to refine programs based on field insights.

Project Management

  • Ability to execute a plan, including milestones, communications and reporting success criteria. 

  • Coordinate Timeline & Resource Management- Develop a detailed project timeline with clear deadlines and dependencies. Assign roles and responsibilities to project team members. Identify resource constraints and adjust plans accordingly.

  • Communication & Stakeholder Reporting-Provide regular status updates to leadership and key stakeholders. Use dashboards and progress reports to ensure transparency. Communicate wins, lessons learned, and next steps clearly.

Preferred Experience

  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in Channel Sales, Sales Enablement, Sales Operations or Sales Productivity. 

  • Experience with Channel or Partner organizations in the technology industry: 3 years minimum

  • Strong understanding of sales processes, methodologies, and sales programs.

  • Bachelor’s Degree or relevant practical working experience required.

  • A strong track record in Project and Program Management is required.

  • Ability to build trust and strong relationships with senior leaders.

  • Strong written and verbal communications skills (in English, other core world languages a plus).

  • Proven ability to work independently & remotely, using virtual working tools.

  • Experience working with a variety of inter-departmental and international stakeholders.

  • Self directed and ability to see the big picture through the tactical.

  • Prior experience implementing sales transformation and methodologies is highly desired.
