We are seeking someone passionate about both U.S. and global immigration who can strategically manage supplier relationships, deliver exceptional employee experiences, and scale programs in a fast-paced environment. You’ll bring deep expertise in U.S. immigration (visa sponsorship, green card processes, compliance, audits) as well as global immigration (work permits, business visas, in-country compliance, and cross-border transfers). You will also leverage AI, automation, and advanced analytics to innovate, optimize processes, and enhance the overall employee experience. This is a unique opportunity to shape the full spectrum of Talent Mobility and Immigration at a high-growth, global company.</p> <p>In this hands-on role, you’ll be a key member of the Talent Mobility &amp; Immigration team, partnering with HRBPs, Recruiting, Legal, People Operations, Compensation, Payroll, and especially our external suppliers (immigration counsel and mobility vendors). You’ll oversee U.S. and global immigration programs end-to-end, manage escalations, ensure compliance, and drive vendor accountability and performance. You’ll also design and scale relocation, transfers, and assignment strategies to ensure Stripe can move talent seamlessly across borders.</p> <h2><strong>What you’ll do</strong></h2> <p> </p> <h3><strong>Responsibilities</strong></h3> <ul> <li><strong>Supplier Management</strong>: Own day-to-day and strategic management of immigration counsel and talent mobility vendors, including SLAs, performance reviews, accountability, escalation handling, and continuous improvement.</li> <li><strong>U.S. Immigration Leadership</strong>: Lead end-to-end U.S. immigration operations, including visa sponsorship (H-1B, O-1, L-1, TN, F-1/OPT/STEM OPT), green card/PERM process, work authorization maintenance, and compliance.</li> <li><strong>Global Immigration Leadership</strong>: Partner with external counsel and internal stakeholders to manage <strong>global immigration programs</strong>, including work permits, business visas, cross-border transfers, and in-country compliance.</li> <li><strong>Oversight of Immigration Onsite Resources</strong>: Provide direction, guidance, and partnership to embedded/on-site immigration vendor resources, ensuring alignment with Stripe priorities, high-quality employee experience, and timely resolution of cases.</li> <li><strong>Stakeholder Partnership</strong>: Collaborate with Recruiting, Legal, and HRBPs to advise on immigration strategies for hiring, workforce planning, and retention across both U.S. and global markets.</li> <li><strong>Compliance &amp; Risk Management</strong>: Ensure compliance with U.S. and global immigration laws, audits, reporting requirements, and vendor-managed case accuracy.</li> <li><strong>Policy &amp; Education</strong>: Develop scalable immigration and mobility policies, manager/employee guidance, and self-service tools to increase clarity and adoption.</li> <li><strong>Talent Mobility Programs</strong>: Contribute to the design and execution of relocation, assignments, transfers, and remote work programs, including vendor-supported policy design and delivery.</li> <li><strong>Technology &amp; Process Innovation</strong>: Leverage <strong>AI, automation, and advanced analytics</strong> to:<br /> <ul> <li>Predict bottlenecks and optimize workflow for immigration and mobility programs</li> <li>Automate repetitive case management tasks and reduce cycle times</li> <li>Enhance employee self-service tools and digital resources for immigration and mobility queries</li> <li>Generate actionable insights from program data to inform strategy and improve decision-making</li> </ul> </li> <li><strong>Escalation &amp; Exception Handling</strong>: Review and resolve exceptions across immigration and mobility cases, coordinating with vendors and internal stakeholders.</li> <li><strong>Data &amp; Reporting</strong>: Monitor vendor reporting and internal data for accuracy, identify trends, and deliver insights to leadership.</li> <li><strong>Regulatory Awareness</strong>: Stay current on U.S. and global immigration regulatory changes and partner with counsel to advise stakeholders on impact and readiness.</li> </ul> <h2><strong>Who you are</strong></h2> <p><span>Were looking for someone who meets the minimum requirements to be considered for the role. The preferred qualifications are a bonus, not a requirement.</span></p> <h3><strong>Minimum requirements</strong></h3> <ul> <li>BA/BS degree or equivalent experience in Immigration, Talent Mobility, Human Resources, or a related field.</li> <li>5–8 years of progressive experience in Talent Mobility with <strong>deep expertise in both U.S. and global immigration</strong>.</li> <li>Demonstrated experience in <strong>supplier/vendor management</strong>, including oversight of onsite vendor resources.</li> <li>Advanced knowledge of the U.S. immigration lifecycle, including non-immigrant visas (H-1B, O-1, L-1, TN), employment-based green cards (PERM, I-140, Adjustment of Status), and compliance obligations.</li> <li>Knowledge of global immigration frameworks, including work authorization processes, country-specific visa requirements, and compliance considerations.</li> <li>Experience leveraging AI, automation, and analytics tools to improve process efficiency, decision-making, and employee experience.</li> <li>Strong skills in handling complex and ambiguous cases, exercising judgment and critical thinking.</li> <li>Data analysis and reporting expertise; able to monitor vendor performance, identify gaps, and recommend solutions.</li> <li>Experience thriving in a high-growth, fast-paced, global environment with multiple stakeholders.</li> </ul> <h3><strong>Preferred qualifications</strong></h3> <ul> <li>Experience leading vendor RFPs, supplier evaluations, and transitions between providers.</li> <li>Experience supporting immigration audits (DOL, USCIS, or international compliance reviews).</li> <li>Familiarity with immigration/mobility case management platforms, Workday, Salesforce, and AI/automation tools.</li> <li>Experience designing predictive analytics dashboards or automated workflows for talent mobility or immigration programs.</li> </ul>
