You’ll be responsible for all aspects of feature development from crafting thoughtful design docs to writing UI and backend code.This is an in-person role based in New York City or San Francisco.<h1>What youll do</h1><ul><li>Ship large improvements to Stainless’s SDK Studio with a focus on empowering self-serve users.</li><li>Build LLM-powered tools to simplify our users’ path for going from OpenAPI spec to production-ready SDK.</li><li>Design + build public APIs that underly the Stainless platform.</li><li>Shape the direction of our nascent API Framework.</li><li>Talk with developers at small startups, growth-stage companies, and enterprises to understand their needs.</li><li>Write great docs, help build a great website, do what needs done.</li></ul><h1>Who you are</h1><ul><li>Experience level sufficient to build anything you can imagine, with great design and sound architecture.</li><li>A demonstrable track record of building modern web applications in Typescript and React.</li><li>Excellent product sensibility.</li><li>A true passion for developer experience and empathy for developers from all backgrounds.</li></ul><ul><li>Experience generating SDKs with Stainless.</li><li>Familiarity with OpenAPI and the broader API tooling ecosystem.</li><li>Experience and/or interest in writing blogs, speaking at conferences and engaging with developer communities.</li><li>Experience both designing and stewarding APIs at scale, whether internal or external.</li><li>Expertise with TypeScript, our language of choice.</li><li>Broad polyglot interest/experience – comfort working across multiple programming languages.</li><li>You’ve started something before: a business, a club, a nonprofit, a student org; anything that shows you’re a builder at heart.</li></ul><h2>Benefits</h2><ul><li>We offer competitive salary and generous equity grants.</li><li>Great healthcare coverage options (e.g., fully covered platinum plans).</li><li>Paid commuter benefits &amp; similar.</li><li>Paid team lunch/meals during workdays.</li><li>Flexible PTO plus 3 weeks of company-wide vacation a year (2 weeks in December, 1 week at the end of the summer).</li><li>Flexible WFH and 1 month fully remote per year (remote February). </li></ul>
