You’ll architect, optimise, and evolve our Bazel-based systems to enable efficient and developer-friendly workflows across the entire client platform stack.</span></div><h3>What Youll Do </h3><ul><li>Design, build, and maintain Bazel-based build systems for Spotify’s client monorepo (iOS, Android, C++, Web).</li><li>Lead improvements to build performance, remote caching, and incremental build reliability at scale.</li><li>Develop tooling and automation that improves IDE integration and developer ergonomics.</li><li>Partner with platform and infra teams to define build graph architecture, dependency management, and hermeticity strategies.</li><li>Instrument and analyze build telemetry to measure and improve developer feedback loops.</li><li>Drive consistency and standardization across cross-platform builds, ensuring reproducible and scalable workflows.</li><li>Mentor peers and contribute to a culture of technical excellence and continuous improvement.</li></ul><h3>Who You Are </h3><ul><li>Strong experience in at least one of: iOS (Xcode, Swift), Android (Gradle, Kotlin/Java), C++ (CMake/Ninja), or Web (TypeScript, Yarn, Webpack).</li><li>Proven experience designing or scaling build systems with Bazel</li><li>Comfortable working in multi-language, multi-platform monorepos.</li><li>Strong understanding of hermetic builds, remote caching, and distributed execution.</li><li>Familiar with IDE integration workflows and tooling ecosystems.</li><li>Excellent collaborator with strong communication skills and a systems-thinking mindset.</li><li>Passionate about improving developer productivity and enabling teams to move faster with confidence.</li></ul><h3>Where Youll Be </h3><ul><li>This role is based in London or Stockholm</li><li>We offer you the flexibility to work where you work best!
