Yes, we even have Slack channels for #kids-and-pets and #food because we believe being human makes us better teammates. </div></div>WHAT YOU’LL DO AT SPLASH: <ul> <li>Develop and enhance our React and NextJS website, building new features, optimizing existing functionality, and ensuring high performance.</li> <li>Partner with backend engineers working in PHP and Clojure to design cohesive end-to-end features, ensuring smooth integration between frontend components and backend services.</li> <li>Lead projects of varying complexity, driving them from inception to delivery, collaborating closely with Product Managers and fellow engineers.</li> <ul> <li>Write technical design documents, creating clear and maintainable specifications for your projects.</li> <li>Take ownership of creating and managing Jira cards, driving clarity and accountability for tasks and deliverables.</li> </ul> <li>Design, execute, and monitor A/B tests (experiments) using feature flags, evaluating their impact on user behavior and business metrics.</li> <li>Implement and maintain observability for the platform, creating alerts, monitors, and dashboards for proactive monitoring and troubleshooting.</li> <li>Contribute to maintaining production stability, investigating and fixing bugs, and providing support to ensure a smooth user experience.</li> <li>Work fully remote, communicating and participating actively in our highly collaborative culture</li> </ul> WHAT YOU’LL BRING TO SPLASH: <ul> <li>Experience: At least 7 years of software development experience with: <ul> <li>More than 3 years working with React</li> <li>More than 2 years working in a true full stack or backend-intensive environment</li> </ul> </li> <li>Performance Optimization: Proficient with profiling and optimizing React applications for high performance</li> <li>UI/UX: Strong understanding of UI/UX principles, component libraries, and responsive design</li> <li>CI/CD: Experience with CI/CD pipelines and modern deployment strategies</li> <li>Observability: Familiarity with logging, monitoring and alerting, dashboards, and metrics</li> <li>Collaboration: Comfortable communicating and collaborating with Product Managers, Designers, and Frontend + Backend Engineers</li> <li>Growth Mindset: Strong desire to keep growing and take on new challenges</li> <li>High Engagement: High level of motivation and engagement, showing strong commitment to both individual and team success</li> </ul> Bonus Attributes (Preferred but Not Required): <ul> <li>Leadership Experience: Experience leading teams or overseeing significant projects</li> <li>Next.js Expertise: Proficiency with Next.js, including server-side rendering (SSR), static site generation (SSG), API routes, and dynamic routing.</li> </ul> Our Tech Stack: <ul> <li>Frontend: React, Next.js, ClojureScript</li> <li>Backend: Clojure</li> <li>Data: PostgreSQL</li> <li>Architecture: Service-oriented, event-driven systems</li> <li>Infrastructure: AWS, Kubernetes, serverless architecture, CI/CD pipelines</li> </ul> Compensation:  The base salary range for this role is $140,000 to $205,000 annually, based on market data and internal compensation practices. This role may also be eligible for a bonus component tied to individual and company performance.
