As a Localization Specialist on the Growth team, you will drive improvements of global localized content for Starlink by helping ensure our content feels natural and native to users in every market. This is a role ideal for someone eager to grow in localization and global operations, with opportunities to work cross-functionally across multiple teams. To succeed in this role, you must have experience scaling localization programs, leading cross-functional projects, and managing localization professionals. You will need to be comfortable rolling up your sleeves in a fast-paced environment, balancing strategy with tactical execution, and acting as the global point of accountability for localization quality and performance. RESPONSIBILITIES: <ul> <li>Own the localization of Starlink content, including strategic ownership of the quality program, across our website, app, emails, and support materials</li> <li>Coordinate all translation projects with external vendors and internal stakeholders</li> <li>Maintain &amp; improve strategy for glossaries, style guides, and linguistic assets to ensure consistent tone and terminology</li> <li>Drive localization timelines and deliverables across multiple languages</li> <li>Conduct market research and cultural audits to ensure cultural relevance of our content</li> <li>Own the quality assurance for translated content, including managing reviews and resolving feedback</li> <li>Improve and own the success of documentation and process improvements for localization workflows</li> <li>Collaborate with teams across Communications, Product, Engineering, and Customer Support</li> </ul> BASIC QUALIFICATIONS: <ul> <li>Advanced degree; or bachelor’s degree and 1+ year professional experience in one or more of the following: <ul> <li>Localization</li> <li>Translation</li> <li>International Marketing</li> <li>Content Management</li> </ul> </li> </ul> PREFERRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE: <ul> <li>Master’s degree in a relevant field (e.g., Linguistics, Translation Studies, International Communications, Localization Project Management)</li> <li>Demonstrated experience building and scaling localization programs for global consumer products</li> <li>Expertise in localization tooling and workflows (e.g., TMS, CMS, CAT tools, QA systems)</li> <li>Proven success managing external vendors and internal stakeholders</li> <li>Deep understanding of cultural differences, market preferences, and regional nuances across multiple countries</li> <li>Strong attention to detail with the ability to navigate fast-paced environments and evolving priorities</li> <li>Excellent written and verbal communication skills</li> <li>Fluency or near-native proficiency in one or more non-English languages preferred</li> <li>Strong organizational and project coordination skills</li> <li>Excellent attention to detail and linguistic quality</li> <li>Experience working with cross-functional teams or international markets</li> <li>Passion for creating seamless global user experiences</li> <li>Adaptability and comfort in fast-paced, ambiguous environments</li> </ul> ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS: <ul> <li>This position is based in Redmond, WA and requires being onsite - remote work not considered</li> <li>Must be available to work extended hours and/or weekends, as needed</li> <li>Willingness to travel to other SpaceX locations and events, as needed</li> </ul> COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS:              Pay range: Level I: $78,000.00 - $95,000.00/per year Level II: $90,000.00 - $115,000.00/per year Your actual level and base salary will be determined on a case-by-case basis and may vary based on the following considerations: job-related knowledge and skills, education, and experience. Base salary is just one part of your total rewards package at SpaceX. You may also be eligible for long-term incentives, in the form of company stock, stock options, or long-term cash awards, as well as potential discretionary bonuses and the ability to purchase additional stock at a discount through an Employee Stock Purchase Plan.
