The Sony Europe Technology Development Centre (EUTDC) is an R&amp;D Integrated Circuit Design Centre and has one clear and bold mission: developing next-generation imaging and sensing solid-state devices from initial idea to technology proof-of-concept demonstrators, contributing to next-generation Sony Semiconductor Solutions successful products for mobile market.We are seeking a skilled and expert Senior Digital Design Verification Engineer to join our Digital Design team, and play a pivotal role in the Digital Design Verification of top-level and IPs, coordinating the efforts of other verification contributors, and contributing to shape the verification methodology. This role involves tight communication with the design team and cohordination of the design verification activities, potentially with external engineers and contractors, and collaboration with other European and Japanese design centers for alignment on methodology improvements.You will:<ul><li>Lead Digital Design Verification projects, including planning and organizing work for contributors, and reporting the progress to managers.</li><li>Develop and consolidate new design verification flows, with the main target of developing state-of-the-art methodology and step up the efficiency across sites.</li><li>Analyze design specifications to create comprehensive verification plans for complex blocks.</li><li>Maintain a digital regression environment and analyze code and functional coverage.</li><li>Debug tests autonomously and communicate proficiently with designers as needed.</li><li>Write, integrate, and debug analogue models, supporting AMS verification teams.</li><li>Contribute to verification methodologies for imaging systems and system model integration (e.g., SystemC).</li><li>Apply Continuous Integration concepts and workflows (e.g., Jenkins).</li></ul>You have:<ul><li>A background in technical, electronics, semiconductor, or physics, with a PhD/MSc in Engineering or Physics or equivalent experience.</li><li>Solid experience in the design and verification domain, preferably with CMOS Image Sensors.</li><li>Excellent expertise in UVM/digital verification methodology.</li><li>Proficient in common scripting languages (Python, Perl, Tcl/shell, Makefile, etc.).</li><li>Excellent communication and coordination skills.</li><li>Experience working with multi-ethnic, cross-functional, and remote teams.</li><li>Fluent English.</li></ul>Your new officeTrento - European Technology Development Centre (EUTDC)Surrounded by Dolomite Alps, the EUTDC is located in Trento (one of the three top cities for life quality in Italy) and sits in a scientific ecosystem where universities, research institutes, companies, and organizations collaborate for the development and design of next generation of imaging and sensing solid-state devices.
