What You’ll Do: (job responsibilities)
- Register works in our internal administration system, including outreach to songwriters/managers.
- Upload audio files to our internal database.
- Social media marketing including strategy, scheduling, and post creation.
- Sync marketing blast creation including graphic design, playlist assembly.
- Support A&R and sync licensing teams with creative additions to sync pitching / briefs.
- Assist in connecting with music supervisors to obtain briefs/pitches.
- Assemble and update A&R looking list to share opportunities with SMP songwriters.
- Studio scheduling point for bookings by songwriters, artists and A&R.
- Support global affiliates through tour invitations, show attendance, sync pitching.
- A&R scouting support including discovery, relationship management, introductions.
- A&R research support including reviewing charts for unsigned songwriters.
- Compile all new releases by SMP songwriters to provide to team.
- Assist with coordination of songwriting camps.
- Juno Awards preparation and submission.
- Creation and maintenance of songwriter bios/one sheets.
- Assistance with scheduling songwriter collaborations.
- Review songwriter demos to provide creative ideas (ie. sessions, placements, syncs)
- Attendance at shows, industry events representing SMP.
- Handle other administrative, sync, A&R and general office related tasks as needed.
Who You Are: (skills and experience required)
- A proactive, self-starter who has strong problem solving, social, and interpersonal skills.
- An exceptional communicator, comfortable working with a variety of stakeholders including artists, songwriters, managers, lawyers, agents, record label A&R, music supervisors, and other industry partners.
- Dedicated to providing best in class service to SMPs global team of songwriters and executives.
- Ability to excel in a fast paced and exciting environment while keeping focused on priorities with a high attention to detail and follow through.
- Positive and proactive team player who is also comfortable working independently.
- Comfortable taking ownership of responsibilities, being accountable and managing time wisely.
- Outstanding organizational skills, with project management experience a plus.
- Demonstrated knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, Powerpoint, Teams and Sharepoint) along with creative tools including Canva. Able to quickly grasp new systems.
- Passionate about a wide variety of music genres with the desire and flexibility to represent SMP at concerts, studio sessions, industry events.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in music, marketing, communication, business or related major.
- 7.5-hour business workday but variations in work volume frequently require extended working hours for evening and late-night events.

The anticipated hourly rate for this position is $25.64 - $27.17 / hr. per hour. This does not include any other compensation components or other benefits that an individual may be eligible for. The actual base salary offered depends on a variety of factors, which may include as applicable, the qualifications of the individual applicant for the position, years of relevant experience, specific and unique skills, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, and the location in which the applicant lives and/or from which they will be performing the job.
