SoFi is building out a new team to develop crypto products and services for our members.  Recent developments made a path for SoFi to begin to re-enter the space and expand on our product offerings with intuitive, secure and fully featured products across crypto Investing, Transfers, Payments, Custody and beyond.  </p> <p>On our team, you will be in the middle of it all – implementing functionality, architecting our system, squashing bugs, maintaining the health of our code, and continually growing as an engineer. The ideal candidate is both forward-thinking and hands-on, has a strong sense of ownership and drive for delivery, and is a good mentor and co-worker. And that starts with you.</p> <p><strong>What Youll Do:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Lead the development and testing of system components/services, code and design reviews</li> <li>Participate in shaping the technical architecture of the product</li> <li>Help translate user stories into technical solutions</li> <li>Deliver highly available and scalable services in a production environment</li> <li>Mentor other engineers, support the technical culture, and help grow the team</li> <li>Generate ideas for new initiatives and technologies</li> <li>Communicate with project leads, product managers and other software developers</li> </ul> <p><strong>What Youll Need:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Bachelor’s Degree, ideally in a technical field, but we understand great engineers come from all sorts of different backgrounds and also consider relevant work experience</li> <li>5+ years programming experience, ideally on a modern stack</li> <li>Our core stack is Kotlin / Spring / Elixir / PostgreSQL, but you dont have to be an expert in any of these. 4+ years programming experience in similar technologies and an understanding of relational databases and ORMs suffices</li> <li>Willingness to roll up your sleeves, collaborate with others and get stuff done</li> <li>Strong sense of responsibility; driving a project from inception to completion</li> <li>Affinity for solving problems and shipping impactful features, not polishing perfect code or architecture</li> <li>Experience working in a collaborative coding environment (and git specifically), refining designs together, writing tests, working through code reviews and managing pull requests</li> </ul> <p><strong>Nice to Haves:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Understanding of blockchain fundamentals and distributed ledger technologies</li> <li>Hands-on experience working with digital assets (e.g., Bitcoin, Ethereum, stablecoins)</li> <li>Familiarity with custody, settlement, and clearing of crypto transactions</li> <li>Knowledge of crypto-specific regulatory environments (e.g., SEC, CFTC, MiCA, etc.)</li> <li>Exposure to crypto trading platforms, market data, and DeFi protocols</li> <li>Experience integrating with or building services using crypto infrastructure providers (e.g., Fireblocks, Bitgo, Zero Hash, Anchorage)</li> <li>Awareness of Web3 trends, including NFTs, DAOs, and Layer 2 solutions</li> <li>Prior work in or collaboration with crypto-native companies or fintechs</li> <li>Comfort with cryptographic concepts such as wallets, keys, and signatures</li> <li>Enthusiasm for the evolving digital asset ecosystem and its potential impact on financial services</li> </ul><div><div><strong>Compensation and Benefits</strong></div> <div>The base pay range for this role is listed below.
