ObjectivesThe Engineering Project Lead will serve as the technical representative for assigned projects and proposals, interfacing with clients, vendors, and third parties. This role is responsible for leading engineering teams, ensuring compliance with project requirements, and delivering high-quality technical solutions.Key ResponsibilitiesGeneral Responsibilities:<ul><li>Oversee all engineering and technical deliverables, ensuring alignment with client requirements.</li><li>Lead multidisciplinary engineering teams across various locations, including internal and external resources.</li><li>Manage engineering schedules, forecasts, and recovery planning to maintain project timelines.</li><li>Ensure strict adherence to the Engineering Design Change Notification (EDCN) process.</li></ul>Sale/Tender Phase:<ul><li>Analyze client technical requirements during the Budgetary Quotation (BQ) and proposal phases to develop engineering</li></ul><ul><li>Ensure strict adherence to the Engineering Design Change Notification (EDCN) process.Sale/Tender Phase:<ul><li>Analyze client technical requirements during the Budgetary Quotation (BQ) and proposal phases to develop engineering documentation for cost estimation.</li><li>Attend bid clarification meetings, providing technical expertise.</li><li>Supervise the development of Technical Requisitions (TRs) and Technical Bid Evaluations (TBEs) based on vendor offers.</li><li>Review and compile engineering hour estimations to ensure accurate costing.</li></ul>Execution Phase:<ul><li>Ensure projects are executed as-sold, complying with SLB standards and client specifications.</li><li>Lead engineering teams, managing workflow and coordinating activities across multiple disciplines.</li><li>Develop and communicate engineering execution strategies and baseline schedules.</li><li>Attend kickoff meetings and design reviews, preventing scope creep.</li><li>Monitor project compliance with the agreed scope and initiate Variation Order Requests (VORs) if required.</li><li>Validate and approve engineering documents, ensuring quality control and consistency.</li><li>Manage subcontracted technical work and specialized safety studies.</li><li>Conduct weekly/monthly engineering progress reviews, updating forecasts and recovery plans as needed.</li><li>Ensure full compliance with the EDCN process through regular monitoring.</li><li>Provide technical approvals for Commercial Variation Orders (VORs) or Management of Change (MOC) requests.</li></ul></li></ul> <ul><li>Qualifications<ul><li>Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Chemical or Mechanical preferred) from an accredited university.</li><li>10+ years of industry experience, particularly in production facilities or process package engineering.</li><li>Strong leadership capabilities in multicultural, multidisciplinary teams, both on-site and remote.</li><li>Experience managing technical discussions with clients and delivering technical presentations.</li><li>High level of initiative, decision-making, and prioritization skills.</li><li>Familiarity with industry standards and codes such as ASME, API, NFPA, IEC, NEC.</li><li>Experience participating in HAZOP and other safety studies, as well as model reviews.</li><li>Operation and constructability workshop experience is a plus.</li></ul> </li></ul>
