We are seeking an experienced Game Engineer to join our Gameplay team, helping us build and strengthen the way that players express themselves in the world. Most of our game engineers are generalists and may find themselves working on anything from gameplay, UE5 engine modifications, performance tuning, tools, and workflow improvements for designers and tech artists. What Were Looking For: <ul> <li>You’ll join one of our several cross-functional teams, with other engineers, designers, and artists and participate in developing Palia; you are someone excited to work with and contribute as part of a team.</li> <li>You are a strong programmer well-versed in C++ game systems in Unreal Engine 5.</li> <li>You are comfortable developing and debugging in multithreaded code and multiplayer networked systems.</li> <li>You take responsibility for developing automated tests, instrumenting telemetry and participating in peer review of your work and the work of your colleagues.</li> <li>You help support our on-call team by diagnosing issues and fixing bugs.</li> </ul> Nice to Have: <ul> <li>“AAA” Game Development: You have 5 or more years of experience developing and shipping games using a modern game engine. Base salary will be determined by role, level, and location. The range listed for each job is the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the positions across S6-approved states.
