The Data Extraction team is one of the core teams in SimilarWeb’s data acquisition operation. We are responsible for the full lifecycle of collecting data from diverse sources such as web scraping, API integrations, and data partnerships. As a Data Analyst in this team, you will be the owner of some of the company’s most critical datasets and work closely with software engineers in a highly technical environment to design, monitor, and improve data pipelines. You’ll combine analytical skills with technical curiosity, ensuring data is accurate, reliable, and scalable for use across the company. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys analysis while also engaging with the systems and technologies that power the data itself. What you’ll do <ul> <li>Research data sources and design metrics, dashboards, and tools to boost visibility and utilization of our datasets.</li> <li>Perform ongoing data QA, define quality KPIs, and proactively flag anomalies.</li> <li>Partner with engineers to shape and validate data flows, contributing to the design of complex acquisition projects.</li> <li>Troubleshoot and debug data issues by diving into pipelines, scripts, and logs.</li> <li>Act as a subject matter expert for the datasets we deliver, supporting other teams across R&amp;D and Product.</li> </ul> What we’re looking for <ul> <li>3+ years of experience as a Data Analyst or BI Developer, working hands-on with databases and query/visualization tools to explore and validate data.</li> <li>Experience using Python to automate data tasks, perform validation, and support analysis.</li> <li>Comfortable working in distributed cloud environments (AWS, GCP, or Azure).</li> <li>Familiarity with big-data technologies (Hadoop, Spark, Databricks) – big advantage.</li> <li>A team player who is curious, self-driven, and able to take ownership from definition to delivery.</li> </ul> Why choose Similarweb?
