This position also acts as the Procurement Specialist for the Harrisburg and Philadelphia Areas. This role provides opportunities to participate in data analytics, process improvement, category strategies as part of Siemens’ project procurement network throughout the US and the Americas. This role reports to the National Procurement Manager responsible for procurement throughout the Northeastern and Mid-Atlantic US.</p><p>This role is split into two focus areas - Field Procurement Manager and Project Specialist.  </p> <p>The Field Procurement Manager side of the role will focus on:</p> <ul> <li>Directly engage in large projects in the bidding phase to improve Siemens competitive position by developing a sourcing approach with the sales or project development team</li> <li>Run subcontractor solicitations (RFQs and RFPs)</li> <li>Conduct bid leveling and negotiating pricing and contract terms</li> <li>Develop and manage a diverse group of suppliers and subcontractors to support Siemens’ building automation, security, fire alarm, electrical services and mechanical services businesses</li> <li>Drive adherence to standard sourcing processes and tools with sales and operations teams </li> <li>Function as business partner for the area manager in this region</li> <li>The position will have opportunities to grow including the chance to develop regional and national procurement programs and policies</li><li>Be responsible for the following activities:</li><ul><li>Cost Reductions – the role has a target for percentage of cost savings achieved through price negotiations, value engineering efforts, and other means.</li><li>Contract Terms – negotiation of contract terms including pay terms with its suppliers and subcontractors.</li><li>Procurement Processes – implement new tools to enable more efficient and effective procurement.</li><li>Supplier Management – manage relationships with major suppliers including soliciting feedback from internal customers and sharing that with suppliers.</li><li>Internal Customer Satisfaction – key managers are surveyed to determine the service level provided.</li></ul></ul>The Project Specialist side of the role will focus on:<br /><ul><ul><li>Subcontractor Bidding – Monitor and support the use of the online bidding platform by Sales and Operations; use of the tool by Subcontractors to place bids</li><li>Master Agreements – Manage the process of executing Master Agreements</li><li>Online Bid tool Management</li><li>Policy compliance</li><li>Subcontract review</li></ul></ul> <p><strong>You will make an impact with these qualifications:</strong></p> <p>Basic Qualifications</p> <ul> <li>BS/BA degree or apprenticeship in a construction trade</li> <li>5 years of cumulative experience; including education where relevant </li><li>1+years of experience in commercial construction experience with purchasing construction trade contractors.
