Our Building Automation Service Specialists performs assigned tasks on automation systems. Tasks include service agreement maintenance, projects, and on-call (time and material) service. Responds to emergency service calls as directed during regularly scheduled hours and after hours as needed. Our Lead Service Specialists are the face of Siemens, and your expertise and regular interaction with the customer will help them save energy and money, as well as create a more sustainable future for our environment.      *Location will be based out of Binghamton, NYAs a Service Specialist, you will:  <ul><li> Execute digitalization and standard service operations strategies</li> <li> Work with multiple internal service team members including Service Sales, Client Service Managers, Service Coordinators, and RAM Digital Service Center personnel</li><li> Follow safety requirements as outlined by Siemens and customers</li><li> Successfully complete assigned training as outlined in the training path</li><li> Follow mandatory policies, procedures, and standards</li><li> Develop relationships at all levels within the customer’s organization and exhibit strong customer service skills</li><li> Identify customer needs and make prioritized recommendations for service agreement adds, upgrades, and escalations</li><li> May coordinate with contractors on job sites and maintains tools and test equipment</li><li> Respond to service calls (emergency and on-site) as assigned. Perform repairs as directed on all automation system types and complete service ticket documentation per the policy</li><li> Follow and maintain preventive maintenance schedules and maintain complete and accurate documentation of services performed and generate reports within Siemens tools</li><li> Provide instructions to customer personnel regarding proper system operations and assist with training</li><li> Identify and report system discrepancies, suggest system upgrade opportunities, and may assist in pricing of repairs and upgrades to existing agreement</li><li> Perform system checkout and startup on projects, participate in job site final walk and/or final completion for systems-to-service turnover on assigned jobs</li><li> Lead and mentor other Service Technicians and identify quote deficiency repairs </li><li> Develop strong working relationships with internal and external customers, identify needs, and resolve issues, and use Siemens technology and devices </li><li> Work overtime when needed (Compressed schedule performance can be a factor and will require extended hours to meet commitments)</li><li> Work rotational On-Call and/or Minimal Overnight Travel</li><li> Have the ability to work remotely, manage time effectively and meet established deadlines and to work in a team environment providing dedicated support to our customers</li></ul> You will make an impact with these qualifications:   Basic Qualifications:  <ul><li> Electro-mechanical experience (either in a previous role or through education) and user PC/software skill</li><li>1+ years of experience performing preventive maintenance, HVAC and diagnostics of BAS building automation systems (Mid Level)</li> <li>3+ years of experience performing preventive maintenance, HVAC and diagnostics of BAS building automation systems (Senior Level)</li><li> Demonstrated on-the-job experience with:</li><ul><li> Open protocols such as BACnet, Modbus, and TCP/IP Ethernet and networking </li><li> Engineering concepts, programming, job start-up and checkout, and troubleshooting </li></ul><li> Ability and willingness to work in a variety of circumstances, including climbing ladders, scaffolds, and high lift equipment, working in ducts, crawl spaces, roofs, basements, above ceilings, and in various conditions</li><li> Must be able to use hand tools, laptop, email, smartphone, and tablet as well as carrying and moving equipment and tools weighing up to 50 pounds unassisted</li><li> Experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and Outlook) </li><li> Must be able and willing to work overtime as needed</li><li> Must be 18 years of age and possess a valid drivers license with limited violations </li><li> Legally authorized to work in the United States on a continual and permanent basis without company sponsorship</li></ul> Preferred Qualifications:<ul><li> High school diploma or state-recognized GED </li> <li> Specialized skill training/certification </li><li> Experience installing and servicing electronic control or HVAC equipment; 4+ years </li><li> Demonstrated use of BAS building automation systems, PLCs, HVAC, electrical concepts, and building operations </li><li> Engineering and programming (PLC or BMS) background </li></ul> You’ll benefit from:   <ul><li>Our variety of health and wellness benefits to our employees.
