This pivotal role focuses on ensuring the efficient stewardship of data within our platform. The Platform Persistence team is at the forefront of some of the most impactful projects, offering visibility to the executive leadership. As part of this team, you will play a crucial role in shaping the future of our platforms data architecture and ensuring that data is stored, retrieved, and managed efficiently. In addition to traditional data management, this team will have a unique focus on telemetry and data visualization, making a substantial impact on how customer and platform data is utilized and presented. What you get to do in this role:<ul><li>Lead and guide the development team in the design and implementation of data platform solutions. </li><li>Writing highly scalable code leveraging best practices on concurrency and memory utilization. </li><li>Shape and execute data management strategies, ensuring scalability, efficiency, and security. </li><li>Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and implement data-related initiatives. </li><li>solving challenging data reconciliation and data quality problems</li><li>Champion data best practices and security standards across the organization. </li><li>Monitor and optimize data performance, troubleshooting and implementing improvements as needed. </li><li>Stay current with the latest data storage and management technologies. </li><li>Act as a technical leader, providing mentorship and fostering a culture of innovation and continuous improvement. </li></ul><h3>Qualifications</h3>To be successful in the role:<ul><li>Experience in leveraging or critically thinking about how to integrate AI into work processes, decision-making, or problem-solving. This may include using AI-powered tools, automating workflows, analyzing AI-driven insights, or exploring AIs potential impact on the function or industry.</li><li>Experience in using AI Productivity tools such as Cursor, Windsurf, etc. is a plus or nice to have</li><li>15+ years of software development experience within a high-traffic, cloud-based environment. </li><li>Proficiency in Java programming and strong expertise in data structures and algorithms. </li><li>Proficiency with concurrency and parallel programming concepts. </li><li>Deep knowledge of databases, data modeling, and data storage technologies. </li><li>Strong relational database experience to handle large amount of data on relational systems. </li><li>Hands-on experience with writing and deploying java services in Kubernetes environments. </li><li>Strong understanding of cloud-based and distributed systems.  </li><li>Proven experience in leading and mentoring engineering teams. </li><li>Familiarity with ServiceNow platform is a plus. </li><li>Excellent problem-solving and communication skills. </li><li>Working knowledge of JavaScript is beneficial for cross-functional collaboration. </li><li>Familiarity with various unit/integration test framework and TDD test practice to ensure code quality</li></ul>   <h3>Additional Information</h3>Work PersonasWe approach our distributed world of work with flexibility and trust.
