This role will ensure alignment between product design, entitlement models, pricing strategies, and audit compliance — laying the foundation for hybrid subscription and consumption-based business models. You will be the connective tissue between Product, Engineering, Pricing, Legal, and Compliance teams, ensuring that every product launched adheres to a unified framework of entitlement policies, role definitions, and metering standards that scale globally.About the impact 1. Strategy &amp; Vision <ul><li>Establish a clear vision for ServiceNow’s licensing and metering governance in alignment with corporate compliance, commercialization strategy, and product roadmap goals. </li><li>Define a multi-year roadmap for scalable licensing frameworks supporting hybrid subscription and consumption-based models. </li><li>Partner with the VP, Product Management – Commercialization Focus, to ensure licensing design is embedded into product strategy from inception, not added post-launch. </li></ul>2. Process &amp; Tooling Ownership <ul><li>Design, document, and evolve standardized licensing workflows across all product and platform teams. </li><li>Drive the implementation of internal tools for entitlement tracking, license validation, metering, and audit readiness. </li><li>Define APIs and integration points between product services and the entitlement management layer to ensure consistent usage tracking. </li></ul>3. Governance &amp; Compliance <ul><li>Establish and manage executive governance review boards for the introduction or modification of meters, entitlements, or cross-BU roles. </li><li>Implement control mechanisms and automated checks to ensure audit readiness and regulatory compliance. </li><li>Partner with Legal and Compliance teams to codify rules and escalation paths for licensing policy deviations. </li></ul>4. Enablement &amp; Communication <ul><li>Develop and maintain documentation, templates, and knowledge bases that guide product teams in defining meters, roles, and entitlements. </li><li>Lead internal enablement programs, including training, playbooks, and standard operating procedures (SOPs) for licensing governance. </li><li>Communicate updates on standards, tooling enhancements, and governance changes across all relevant stakeholders. </li></ul>Responsibilities Summary <ul><li>Govern product licensing standards, metering processes, and entitlement policies across ServiceNow’s product lines. </li><li>Maintain internal tooling and compliance infrastructure to ensure licensing integrity throughout the software development lifecycle. </li><li>Institutionalize executive review boards for introducing or modifying meters, roles, and cross-portfolio entitlements. </li><li>Develop end-to-end licensing processes embedded in each release cycle and ensure consistent adoption across all business units. </li><li>Partner cross-functionally to integrate governance frameworks into ServiceNow’s AI-native commercialization model. </li></ul><h3>Qualifications</h3><ul><li>12+ years in enterprise software product management, preferably in SaaS or platform companies with complex entitlement architectures.</li><li>Proven experience with licensing frameworks, entitlement management, or metering systems. </li><li>Familiarity with hybrid subscription and consumption-based business models. </li><li>Strong technical fluency in platform architecture and integration of compliance tooling. </li><li>Excellent collaboration skills — able to influence without authority across Product, Legal, and Engineering. </li><li>Analytical, systems-thinking mindset capable of defining company-wide governance models. </li></ul>For positions in this location, we offer a base pay of $217,500 - $380,700, plus equity (when applicable), variable/incentive compensation and benefits. Sales positions generally offer a competitive On Target Earnings (OTE) incentive compensation structure. Please note that the base pay shown is a guideline, and individual total compensation will vary based on factors such as qualifications, skill level, competencies, and work location.
