Role Overview: We are seeking an exceptional and highly experienced Principal Data Scientist to join our Data Science team. As a Principal Data Scientist you will help shape our data science strategy and drive the development of scalable machine learning solutions that power our cybersecurity ratings engine. As a technical thought leader, you will mentor a growing team and collaborate across engineering, product and security teams.  Responsibilities: <ul> <li>Define and execute on the data science roadmap to advance SecurityScorecard’s core analytics and ML capabilities.</li> <li>Lead the design, development, and deployment of advanced machine learning models and algorithms to solve complex cybersecurity challenges.</li> <li>Collaborate closely with product, engineering, and research teams to translate business requirements into robust and scalable data science solutions.</li> <li>Mentor and guide other data scientists, fostering a culture of technical excellence and continuous learning.</li> <li>Conduct rigorous research and experimentation to identify new opportunities and approaches for improving our products and services.</li> <li>Stay abreast of the latest advancements in data science, machine learning, and cybersecurity.</li> <li>Communicate complex technical concepts and findings to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.</li> </ul> Qualifications: <ul> <li>Ph.D. or Masters degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related quantitative field.</li> <li>10+ years of progressive experience in data science, with a proven track record of leading significant data science projects from conception to deployment.</li> <li>Deep expertise in machine learning, statistical modeling, and experimental design.</li> <li>Proficiency with Python and experience with relevant data science/machine learning/statistical computing frameworks (e.g., scikit-learn,  PyTorch, Numpy).</li> <li>Strong experience with big data technologies (e.g., Spark, Hadoop) and cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP).</li> <li>Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.</li> <li>Experience in the cybersecurity domain is a significant plus.</li> <li>Experience with LLMs is a plus.</li> </ul> Benefits: Specific to each country, we offer a competitive salary, stock options, Health benefits, and unlimited PTO, parental leave, tuition reimbursements, and much more! The estimated total compensation range for this position is $211,000 - $237,000 (base plus bonus). Actual compensation for the position is based on a variety of factors, including, but not limited to affordability, skills, qualifications and experience, and may vary from the range.
