This role is specifically designed to evaluate component deviations ensuring the quality and precision of vehicle body assembly and surface quality, focusing on precise fit, form, function and visual appearance. <h4>What you’ll do</h4> Become part of an iconic brand that is set to revolutionize the electric pick-up truck &amp; rugged SUV marketplace by achieving the following: <ul> <li>Works with the Meisterbock and Cubing Technician to evaluate PMP and FMK deviations</li> <li>Geometrical homologation of the in-house built components</li> <li>Geometrical matching of in-house built parts with supplier parts</li> <li>Analysis of geometrical quality issues from pre-series until end of production</li> <li>Measurement and analysis of serial pieces to guarantee quality level and in case of deviations to define measures</li> <li>Reference body mounting</li> <li>Generate reports in PiWeb and reports out cross-functionally</li> </ul> Location &amp; Travel Expectations: <ul> <li>This role will be based out of the Scout Motors location in Blythewood, South Carolina.</li> <li>The responsibilities of this role require daily attendance in office with in-person meetings and events regularly. </li> <li>Applicants should expect that the role will require the ability to convene with Scout colleagues in person and travel to participate in events on behalf of the company from time to time.</li> <li>Travel: Domestic and international travel required, approximately 5-10% of the time. Bachelor’s degree in engineering or technical field or equivalent experience. Master’s degree in engineering preferred.</li> <li>Knowledgeable with vehicle launch phased processes.</li> <li>Working knowledge of Statistical Process Control.</li> <li>Ability to visualize part in three-dimensional space and explain topics to non-technical team members.</li> <li>Ability to interpret drawings and GD&amp;T.</li> <li>Strong documentation skills</li> <li>Strong problem-solving skills</li> <li>CMM and OMM software proficiency</li> <li>Measurement equipment and software maintenance</li> <li>Strong interpersonal skills</li> <li>Strong initiative to develop professionally.</li> </ul> Optional/suggestions: <ul> <li>Previous experience in automotive evaluating part and assembly geometry.</li> <li>Familiarity with manual and automated measuring equipment.</li> <li>Familiarity with measurement database software</li> <li>Soft skills: Public speaking, cross-functional collaboration</li> <li>Is a self-starter.
