What you’ll do
Become part of an iconic brand that is set to revolutionize the electric pick-up truck & rugged SUV marketplace by achieving the following:
- Define and coordinate technical career paths and role-specific training journeys across the aftersales organization.
- Design and implement blended learning strategies that combine in-person training, virtual classrooms, microlearning modules, and gamified experiences.
- Oversee the development and structuring of high-quality technical content, ensuring consistency, scalability, and alignment with brand and operational needs.
- Support the evaluation and configuration of a robust LMS platform that meets training needs, supports multiple content formats, and enables tracking, certification, personnel status, training calendar and user-friendly access across roles among other requirements.
- Ensure that technical training programs are tailored not only for technicians but also for other critical roles such as service advisors, warranty analysts, and other withing Scout organization.
- Define the tools, methodologies, and platforms used to create and distribute training content, ensuring efficiency, effectiveness, and continuous improvement.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders (Technical service, Commercial operations and HR) to ensure training supports performance goals and evolving service requirements.
- Supervise and guide a team of technical trainers, ensuring consistent delivery, ongoing development, and alignment with brand standards.
- Develop strategic partnerships with technical schools, training centers, and educational institutions to build a sustainable pipeline of talent for service operations.
- Coordinate the set up, management and operational oversight of regional technical training centers, ensuring that are fully equipped, properly staffed and align to Scout’s training standards and objectives.
Location & Travel Expectations:
- This role will be based out of the Scout Motors location in Columbia, SC.
- The responsibilities of this role require attendance in office with in-person meetings and events regularly.
- Applicants should expect that the role will require the ability to convene with Scout colleagues in person and travel to participate in events on behalf of the company from time to time. This role may be temporarily remote if necessary, but it is expected to be in office within the next 18 months.

- Bachelor’s degree in education, Engineering, Automotive Technology, or a related field; advanced degree preferred
- Minimum 8+ years of experience in technical training within the automotive or mobility sector.
- Proven experience leading technical training programs, including managing instructors and developing structured career and training paths.
- Deep understanding of blended learning methodologies, instructional design, and training technologies (LMS platforms, authoring tools, gamification, etc.).
- Experience coordinating training for a variety of technical roles, not just technicians.
- Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
- Demonstrated ability to drive seamless collaboration and alignment across functions.
- The ability to build and manage partnerships with educational institutions and external training providers.

Pay Transparency
This is a full-time, exempt position eligible to receive a base salary and to participate in an annual performance bonus program. Final salary offered will be determined based on factors including but not limited to the candidates skills and experience. The annual performance bonus program is preset and not candidate dependent.
Initial base salary range = $130,000.00 - $160,000.00
