If youre ready to drive change and make history, apply now!</div><h4>What you’ll do</h4> Become part of an iconic brand that is set to revolutionize the electric pick-up truck &amp; rugged SUV marketplace by achieving the following: <ul> <li>Lead the design and release process for instrument panel and consoles, ensuring innovative and optimized solutions for Scout Motors trucks and SUVs.</li> <li>Foster an environment of engineering excellence, serving as a source of expertise and knowledge in interior areas.</li> <li>Build and coach a diverse team while fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture, promoting continuous learning and professional development among team members.</li> <li>Lead the collaborative design and creation of a simulation environment for testing new body system concepts and ideas related to vehicle handling, safety features, and overall driving experience.</li> <li>Develop prototypes for virtual and physical verification testing, including field testing.</li> <li>Ensure designs conform to safety standards and U.S. government regulations.</li> <li>Proactively stay attuned to consumer experience and propose system improvements accordingly.</li> <li>Contribute to the design of production facilities for body systems of the Scout Motors trucks &amp; SUVs.</li> <li>Manage resources efficiently including infrastructure, financial, supplier partners and people.</li> <li>Be a key member and decision maker within the technical leadership team and liaison with all Scout Motors functions.</li> </ul> Location &amp; Travel Expectations: <ul> <li>This role will be based out of the Scout Motors location in Novi, MI.</li> <li>The responsibilities of this role require 3-4 days attendance at in-person meetings and events regularly. </li> <li>Applicants should expect that the role will require the ability to convene with Scout Motors colleagues in person and travel to participate in events on behalf of the company from time to time.</li> </ul> <h4>What you’ll bring </h4> We expect all Scout Motors employees to have integrity, curiosity, resourcefulness, and strive to exhibit a positive attitude, as well as a growth mindset. Heres what else youll bring: <ul> <li>Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in mechanical engineering, systems engineering, engineering management, or a relevant field.</li> <li>10+ years of experience in body interior engineering with emphasis on IP and Console design and release requirements. Body structures, electrical, mechanical and relevant automotive experience a plus.
