If youre ready to drive change and make history, apply now!</div><h4>What you’ll do</h4> Become part of an iconic brand that is set to revolutionize the electric pick-up truck &amp; rugged SUV marketplace by achieving the following: <ul> <li>Manage the organization’s general litigation docket and activities, including overseeing outside counsel, motions and pleadings, deposition prep, litigation holds, legal notices, subpoenas and e-discovery.</li> <li>Brief and provide legal advice to senior management on legal demands, settlement negotiations, threatened and ongoing litigation, and investigations.</li> <li>Work closely with the General Counsel, other members of the Legal Team and members of company senior leadership to identify corporate, commercial and operational risks of the organization.</li> <li>Develop and lead the implementation of a comprehensive litigation risk management plan and organizational litigation strategies.</li> <li>Develop and implement litigation risk management training for senior management and other relevant team members.</li> <li>Collaborate and build strong relationships with internal clients and stakeholders, including Commercial Operations, Production, Purchasing, and Finance.</li> <li>Keep abreast of litigation and risk management best practices, including best-in-class technologies, processes and procedures.</li> <li>Monitor, interpret and provide guidance on federal and state court cases, decisions, and laws and regulations that may impact the organization and its business and operations.</li> </ul> Location &amp; Travel Expectations: <ul> <li>This role will be based out of the future Scout Motors corporate headquarters, which is anticipated to be identified in 2025. This role may be remote to start but will transition to an in-office setting at the headquarters after the location is determined. This role is not eligible for remote work in New York City.</li> <li>The responsibilities of this role require attendance in office with in-person meetings and events regularly. </li> <li>Applicants should expect that the role will require the ability to convene with Scout colleagues in person and travel to participate in events on behalf of the company from time to time.</li> </ul> <h4>What you’ll bring </h4> We expect all Scout employees to have integrity, curiosity, resourcefulness, and strive to exhibit a positive attitude, as well as a growth mindset.
