In this role, you will participate in the development of our data stores.</span></div><div><span>Our tools of trade are a good code editor to write in C, Python and some Go on a Linux environment. We take pride in delivering a quality product that can stand the test of time. For sure, your development on a distributed system will have an impact since our core technology is serving hundreds of customers and millions of end users.</span></div><h3>Responsibilities</h3><ul><li>Design new features on our storage systems</li><li>Develop them</li><li>Test them</li><li>Document them</li><li>Help troubleshoot the code when needed</li><li>Review designs, code, tests, documentations from your peers</li></ul><h3>Requirements</h3><ul><li>You have significant experience with system programming in C on Linux on multi-threaded software</li><li>You have worked on distributed systems</li><li>You are able to design architecture to solve problems at high scale</li><li>You know how to test software, what to test and when</li><li>You are familiar with Git</li><li>You are at ease working in an english-speaking environment</li><li>You have a BS/MS/PhD in a scientific field or equivalent experience</li></ul><h3>Bonus</h3><ul><li>Knowledge of storage technologies</li><li>Performance tuning</li><li>Experience with Python and/or Go</li><li>Knowledge of Kubernetes and container technologies</li></ul><div><span>Office</span></div><div><span>Scality is an international company with R&amp;D split between Paris and San Francisco, and other offices in Tokyo, London and many other places around the world.
