The Role:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and technically strong Senior Revenue Accountant to support and help drive the integrity of revenue accounting operations. This role plays a key part in the application of ASC 606, contract review, month-end close, and ensuring the accurate and timely recognition of SaaS revenue. You will work cross-functionally with Legal, Sales Ops, and FP&A, and be instrumental in improving revenue workflows, supporting audits, and implementing scalable processes.
Responsibilities:
- Review and interpret customer contracts to ensure appropriate revenue recognition in accordance with ASC 606
- Prepare revenue-related journal entries, reconciliations, and deferred revenue schedules during the monthly close process
- Partner with the Revenue Accounting Manager and cross-functional stakeholders on deal reviews and contract structuring
- Support the documentation of revenue accounting positions and maintain internal control standards
- Assist with SaaS KPI reporting, including ARR, MRR, churn, and backlog
- Help identify and implement process improvements and automation opportunities within the quote-to-cash workflow (e.g., Salesforce CPQ, Zuora, NetSuite)
- Collaborate with external auditors during audits and reviews by preparing revenue schedules, documentation, and supporting data
- Act as a resource and mentor to junior revenue accountants and billing team members
- Stay current on evolving revenue guidance and support updates to company policies and procedures accordingly
Required Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA or CPA-track preferred
- 4–6 years of revenue accounting experience with SaaS revenue accounting under ASC 606 experience or public accounting (audit) role.
- Solid understanding of ASC 606 and SaaS business models (subscriptions, usage-based billing, professional services, renewals)
- Experience with ERP and revenue systems such as NetSuite, Zuora, and Salesforce CPQ is a plus
- Strong Excel skills and comfort working with large data sets
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational and problem-solving skills
- Effective communicator with the ability to work independently and cross-functionally
- Experience in a PE-backed, high-growth tech or SaaS company is a plus
- Willingness to travel domestically and internationally up to 10% of the time to support in-person collaboration with your team, as needed on-site or within the region.

As a result, Saucers located near an office location must be able and willing to come into the office. Those hired remotely must be able and willing to travel to an office as required by the specific role.
