This role will partner cross-functionally across Legal, Sales, RevOps, and FP&A to streamline revenue processes, strengthen controls, and support enhanced financial visibility for leadership and PE sponsors.
Responsibilities:

- Oversee the revenue month-end close process, including journal entries, reconciliations, deferred revenue schedules, and reporting.
- Partner with Legal, Sales, and RevOps to assess contract terms, review deal structures, and document revenue accounting conclusions (SSP, variable consideration, etc.).
- Develop and maintain revenue accounting policies, internal controls, and process documentation aligned with PE-backed company standards.
- Support timely, accurate reporting of SaaS KPIs such as ARR, MRR, churn, and backlog to inform business leaders and meet PE reporting requirements.
- Drive process improvements to scale quote-to-cash operations and automate revenue workflows (e.g., Zuora, Salesforce CPQ, NetSuite).
- Manage, mentor, and develop a team of revenue accountants and billing specialists, ensuring accurate and scalable operations.
- Coordinate with external auditors during annual audits and quarterly reviews, preparing revenue schedules, memos, and audit support.
- Partner with FP&A and other finance functions to ensure alignment between revenue recognition, reporting, and forecasting.
- Willingness to travel domestically and internationally up to 25% of the time to support in-person collaboration with your team or customers, as needed on-site or within the region.
Required Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting; CPA strongly preferred.
- 6+ years of revenue accounting experience, with at least 3 years focused on SaaS revenue accounting under ASC 606 and 2-5 years in a management or team lead role.
- Experience in a PE-backed, high-growth SaaS or technology company strongly preferred.
- Proven expertise in ASC 606 contract review, SSP analysis, variable consideration, and multi-element arrangements.
- Familiarity with SaaS systems and quote-to-cash workflows (e.g., NetSuite, Zuora, Salesforce CPQ).
- Experience supporting financial audits, internal controls, and revenue policy documentation.
- Strong organizational, analytical, and communication skills, with the ability to work cross-functionally and meet tight deadlines.
- Demonstrated experience managing and developing accounting teams.
- Big 4 public accounting background (Audit or Transaction Services) is a plus.
