Join us to advance your career in pursuit of an inspiring mission, in a community of like-minded people who value entrepreneurialism, ownership, and transformative impact. </span></p></div><h3><strong>About the Role</strong><strong><br /></strong></h3> <p>The Cybersecurity Group at SandboxAQ is looking for an Engineering Manager to help functionalize <a href="https://aqtiveguard.com">AQtive Guard</a>, our groundbreaking solution for modern non-human identity and cryptography management already launching globally with major organizations like top-tier financial institutions and government agencies.</p> <p>The team is seeking a hands-on Engineering Manager who is strongly focused on building our team responsible for generating and ingesting data, both from our own sensors and third-party systems. This also implies building external-facing APIs and an SDK to make the platform easily extensible by external parties. This role is pivotal in advancing our security integrations to support seamless connectivity with third-party tools and other enterprise security platforms. The successful candidate will lead the technical strategy for our sensors, third-party ingestion pipeline and developer-facing SDKs while remaining hands-on with code and architecture decisions.</p> <h3><strong>What Youll Do</strong></h3> <ul> <li>Lead and grow our sensors, 3P Integrations &amp; SDK team while remaining hands-on with code reviews, architecture decisions, and critical feature development.</li> <li>Own the roadmap &amp; design of our sensors, including a passive network analyzer, filesystem scanner and application dynamic tracer</li> <li>Own the roadmap &amp; design of our third party integrations</li> <li>Own the roadmap &amp; design of an SDK that enables seamless integration between our cybersecurity platform and third-party enterprise tools, including collaboration with with enterprise customers and partners to understand integration their requirements</li> <li>Own the developer experience end-to-end: from API design to documentation to integration, deployment guides</li> <li>Mentor and coach engineers on both technical skills and career development while fostering a culture of quality, testing, and documentation</li> <li>Establish and maintain engineering best practices around testing and scalability</li> <li>Build relationships with key enterprise customers and act as their technical advocate internally</li> </ul> <h3><strong>About You</strong></h3> <ul> <li>You have 8+ years in software engineering roles with experience leading engineering teams and remaining technically hands-on</li> <li>You have a proven track record of building and shipping production services from scratch in Rust, Golang, Python, C++, Kotlin or Java. Note that our integration services are written in Kotlin.</li> <li>You can quickly grasp streaming concepts (codecs, protocols, latency optimisation), or you already have experience in this domain</li> <li>Youve built and shipped production SDKs, APIs, or enterprise integration solutions across multiple programming languages</li> <li>You think like a developer advocate while balancing technical excellence with business objectives and delivery timelines</li> <li>You excel at cross-functional collaboration and can translate between technical constraints and business requirements</li> <li>You have experience with enterprise authentication flows (OAuth, SAML), API security, and compliance requirements</li> <li>You demonstrate strong technical leadership skills with the ability to make architectural decisions while managing and developing team members</li> <li>You balance hands-on technical contributions with people management and strategic planning</li> </ul> <h3><strong>Our Current Stack</strong></h3> <ul> <li><strong>Languages:</strong> Kotlin, Golang, and Rust</li> <li><strong>Infrastructure:</strong> AWS, Kubernetes</li> <li><strong>Developer Tools:</strong> GitHub, CI/CD pipelines, API documentation tools</li> <li><strong>Monitoring:</strong> DataDog</li> </ul> <div> <p><em><em>The US base salary range for this full-time position is expected to be $225k - $315k per year. Our salary ranges are determined by role and level. Within the range, individual pay is determined by factors including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
