Reporting to the Director of Channel Operations, this role is a pivotal customer-facing position with a direct impact on revenue, both in terms of sell-in and sell-out. The Senior Manager of Merchandising Operations is responsible for developing and executing space planning strategies, ensuring the Samsung brand is effectively represented in T-Mobile Retail. This includes planning, implementing, maintaining, and tracking Samsung’s retail initiatives in the mobile category. As a key member of the Retail Channel Operations team, this individual will play a critical role in positioning Samsung as a retail leader by delivering exceptional customer and shopper experiences.

- Define clear programs with measurable success metrics to ensure ROI and enable faster scaling decisions.
- Develop and manage scorecards aligned with program goals from launch day.
- Lead contractual agreements and negotiations, representing Samsung’s interests both internally and externally.
- Ensure financial considerations are in place to maximize ROI, with all requirements identified before presenting programs to the Samsung executive team for approval.
- Align with customers on key merchandising and launch initiatives to ensure seamless execution.
- Drive new distribution model initiatives to enhance retail strategies.
- Develop, implement, and maintain merchandising strategies for Samsung’s retail initiatives in assigned channels, ensuring a best-in-class retail experience.
- Collaborate cross-functionally to create innovative retail concepts that boost customer awareness and engagement in-store.
- Partner with sales and product teams to guide merchandising planogram development, optimizing sales across product categories.
- Own the planning and implementation of display units, visual merchandising elements, device security, and retail graphics across diverse store layouts.
- Coordinate on-device digital content and customization as needed, ensuring alignment with retail strategies.
- Tightly manage the development and execution of all product launches and retail experience launches for carrier customers.
- Communicate merchandising plans and strategies effectively to field sales teams and carrier account teams to ensure organizational alignment.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with cross-functional teams, carrier account teams, and customers.
- Oversee budget and vendor requests, collaborating with project managers and internal teams to ensure timely approvals.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree preferred in Business, Marketing, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
- If BS degree, 8+ years of experience in project management and operations within a retail organization; wireless industry experience is a plus.
- If no BS degree, 10+ years of experience.
- Proven ability to manage complex projects with attention to detail and meet deadlines for multiple concurrent initiatives.
- Deep understanding of the consumer journey, trends, and insights.
- Demonstrated success in cross-functional collaboration, influencing peers, and achieving project objectives.
- Exceptional organizational skills, with meticulous attention to production schedules, timelines, and accurate communication with internal and external partners.
- Ability to make informed recommendations based on a thorough understanding of organizational and business objectives.
- Customer-focused mindset with the ability to assess opportunities objectively and adapt to changing customer needs.
- Experience engaging with leadership levels and developing presentations using PC applications (word processing, spreadsheets, presentations).

WASHINGTON STATE ONLY
The salary range for this role is expected to be between $150,000 and $160,000. Actual pay will be determined considering factors such as relevant skills and experience, and comparison to other employees in the role.
