Position SummarySamsung’s Strategic Partner Management team is responsible for managing our business relationships with partners in Samsung’s Smart TV and Galaxy Mobile device ecosystem. The Strategic Partnerships Group is seeking a leader to join our Strategic Partner Management team overseeing media application partnerships across Samsung’s cross-device services ecosystem. The Strategic Partner Manager serves as the face of Samsung to some of our most important partners. Current and prospective content partners include major studios/networks, broadcasters, digital media companies, and application developers. This is a highly cross-functional role with touchpoints across Business Development, Product, Engineering, Marketing, Legal, Finance, Ad Sales, and Operations, requiring deep collaboration to maximize partner success, drive feature integration, and ensure new device support/certification. The candidate will need a deep understanding of the mobile and TV service ecosystems, technology trends and platforms, and evolving business models of the services ecosystem. This role will also require a keen sense of product awareness to articulate platform value and represent product requirements. Exceptional relationship-building skills and the ability to dive deeply into both business and technical issues will be critical to success in this role. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, as well as a strong analytical bent and the ability to navigate and embrace complexity. They will demonstrate knowledge of verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to lead meetings, drive presentations, and represent Samsung to all levels of partner organizations. Experience administering complex partnerships at a major software company, app-store or service ecosystem is preferred, and the candidate must have experience managing ambitious goals in a fast-paced environment.Role and ResponsibilitiesResponsibilities <ul><li>Develop highly effective, deep relationships with key partners. Provide day-to-day management of partner relationships with a focus on growth activities.</li><li>Work closely with editorial, curation and audience development teams to effectively optimize and operationalize content strategy with our partners to drive business goals.</li><li>Drive thought leadership on the evolving content ecosystem landscape and advocate across the organization on behalf of partners and opportunities.</li><li>Work cross-functionally across the business, editorial, product, marketing, operations, and other parts of the organization (including Korea HQ) to develop and execute business strategy</li><li>Set account strategy and business objectives per partner; define and track KPIs; take responsibility for mobilizing partners and internal resources to execute to meet goals</li><li>Lead partner meetings and prepare strategy documents, quarterly business reviews, and executive presentations</li><li>Monitor partner performance on the platform and ensure meeting contractual terms, including finance and marketing commitments</li><li>Support Samsung’s business objectives and align partnership priorities with key stakeholders across TV and mobile business teams</li></ul>Skills and Qualifications<ul><li>10+ years of experience partnerships, from media, tech, Smartphone Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs), startups and software companies.</li><li>Deep understanding of the North American media ecosystem</li><li>Attention to detail and organizational skills to work cross-functionally with other teams to launch products and features, especially Product and Marketing teams</li><li>Familiarity with performance marketing measurement &amp; attribution, and major app stores best practices</li><li>Ability to deal with ambiguity, solve complex problems, and navigate large, global organizations</li><li>Passionate about technology and new media trends</li><li>Self-motivated, assertive, analytical, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment</li><li>Operational experience managing complex partnerships and leading teams</li><li>Experience interpreting and administering complex contracts</li><li>Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint is necessary</li><li>Willingness for occasional travel</li><li>Note this role requires evening calls with Korea</li></ul>Compensation for this role, for candidates based in New York City, NY, is expected to be between $200,000 ~ $230,000.  Actual pay will be determined considering factors such as relevant skills and experience, and comparison to other employees in the role.Regular full-time employees (salaried or hourly) have access to benefits including: Medical, Dental, Vision, Life Insurance, 401(k), Employee Purchase Program, Tuition Assistance (after 6 months), Paid Time Off, Student Loan Program (after 6 months), Wellness Incentives, and many more.#LI-DNI* Please visit <a href="https://account.samsung.com/membership/pp" target="_blank">Samsung membership</a> to see Privacy Policy, which defaults according to your location.
