You will be surrounded by a high-caliber team that will encourage you to do your best.</li> </ul> In this role, you will: <ul> <li>Get in on the “ground floor” of a growing team that expands its sphere of influence that shapes the way we operate as an accounting organization.   </li> <li>Learn from the best in the profession by interacting with leadership who are invested in your development and want to provide you with growth opportunities.</li> <li>Build a legacy by helping us create and deploy world-class best practices that set the standard for high-performing organizations in the tech space.</li> <li>Be in the driver’s seat for our SEC filings, including Form 10-Qs, 10-Ks, 8-Ks, and annual proxy statements.</li> <li>Apply your technical expertise to prepare consolidated financial statements and footnote disclosures for a fast-growing, market leading company.</li> <li>Be empowered to  collaborate with local accounting teams to review supporting data, perform tie outs and analysis for SEC filings.</li> <li>Learn our business end-to-end through flux analyses and use your learnings to draft  an insightful MD&amp;A.</li> <li>Deepen your understanding of GAAP by performing related research and documentation of accounting whitepapers; proposing suitable disclosures and benchmarking against industry standards.</li> <li>Apply ASC 718 principles in the accounting and reporting for the Company’s equity programs including the valuation and disclosure of such programs for SEC reporting.</li> <li>Work closely with external auditors to support the successful completion of SAS 100 quarterly reviews and annual audit.</li> <li>Prepare presentations, including review and tie out, for executive management and Audit Committee.</li> <li>Support compliance activities across the global accounting function including the deployment of accounting policies and SOX controls.</li> <li>Participate in other transformative special projects as required.</li> <li>Champion, role model, and embed Samsara’s cultural principles (Focus on Customer Success, Build for the Long Term, Adopt a Growth Mindset, Be Inclusive, Win as a Team) as we scale globally and across new offices.</li> </ul> Minimum requirements for the role: <ul> <li>Bachelor’s degree.</li> <li>CPA license.</li> <li>Minimum of 4 years of accounting experience. </li> <li>Minimum of 2 years of professional work experience at a public accounting firm.</li> <li>Strong understanding of generally accepted accounting principles (US GAAP), accounting processes, and SOX requirements.</li> <li>Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other accounting software.</li> </ul> An ideal candidate also has: <ul> <li>Experience with ASC 718 principles.</li> <li>Experience with Workiva SEC Reporting Solution and iXBRL review. Experience with NetSuite and/or Schwab EquiView is a plus.</li> <li>Experience in tech and IPO is a plus.</li> <li>Experience prioritizing and managing time, working under strict deadlines, and ensuring compliance with company policies.</li> <li>Must be a fast learner, multi-tasker with a strong desire to learn and have a ‘can do’ attitude.</li> <li>Strong initiative, intellectual curiosity, and willingness to take ownership of complex problems.</li> <li>Must be able to collaborate and communicate effectively.</li> <li>Critical thinker, able to implement scalable processes.</li> <li>Excellent written and verbal communication skills, and analytical skills.</li> <li>Strong organization skills with exceptional attention to detail and follow-through.</li> </ul><div><div><div>The range of annual base salary for full-time employees for this position is below.
