The Developer Productivity Experience Cloud team at Salesforce is rapidly innovating in the CI space to be able to build a world-class CI platform to transform our developer productivity and experience from Code to Cloud. About the Role:
This Role provides the opportunity to work with a highly energized technical team to deliver a CI platform that services developers at scale. You will be working on a CI platform that is built for scale and will be building and testing 1000s of microservices and executing millions of tests across multiple branches.

You will have an opportunity to delight 10000+ internal developers and 100K+ external developers with your innovative platform skills and solutions. Leverage the latest AI, machine learning, and predictive analytics technologies to build a highly responsive and secure state-of-the-art pipeline/CI platform.

In this role, you would have a chance to transform and influence 100’s of scrum teams towards a more agile system using the latest in SCM and CI technologies. Your customers are the top notch engineers, architects and technical leaders at Salesforce who help create the most innovative Mobile, Social, Cloud based Customer Success Platform and Applications in the industry.

Responsibilities:

  • Design scalable build systems catering to 13K+ developers in a multi-substrate cloud environment
  • Design and implement a secure Microservices model at scale, and integrate with critical subsystems.
  • Performance analytics and scale the platform to 1000s of CI pipelines.
  • Work with the Security team to enable security and compliance checks in the CI/CD pipelines.
  • Automation of release management activities
  • Implement best practices for artifact management and signing, integrating with deploy services and workflow management for integration testing.
  • Work closely with Developers, Architects and Operations to rollout and deploy pipeline components
  • Some attributes of successful candidates:
  • Very passionate in engineering and developing platforms and frameworks.
  • Data-driven approach to problem-solving
  • Good understanding of software development lifecycle, DevOps, DevsecOps
  • Experience in implementing solutions using Docker solutions for Microservices model.
  • Have worked with AWS or similar Cloud solutions and have strong hands-on experience with Java, Python, Docker, Service discovery, Resource scheduling and have done successful implementations at scale.
  • Management around pipelines, static analysis, code coverage and security.

Requirements:

  • A related technical degree required.
  • 5 + years of professional hands on backend development experience
  • Strong hands on coding experience with Java, Python, Golang, Node.js, C++ with direct experience developing in a Linux/UNIX data center environment.
  • Must have experience with Git, Jenkins, Docker, and Kubernetes
  • Good understanding of security scanning tools and vulnerability management tools.
  • Strong understanding of code dependency management, test case analysis
  • Experience with logging, monitoring, alerting and analytics.
  • Experience owning and operating multiple instances of a mission critical service
  • Experience with Agile development methodology and Test-Driven Development
  • Experience using metrics to drive operational excellence
  • Experience with Systems development
  • Strong analytical skills, understanding of analytics to drive tests based on workflows
  • Ability to analyze complex systems and failure modes and build technical strategies for improvements based on those findings.

For California-based roles, the base salary hiring range for this position is $137,100 to $188,600.
