If you believe in business as the greatest platform for change and in companies doing well and doing good – you’ve come to the right place.
Salesforce is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Manager of Software Engineering to lead our Cloud-Agnostic Platform Development team. Your responsibilities will include building a high-performing team, delivering the platform, migrating customers to the newly architected platform, and ensuring its availability at scale.
Your Impact:
Lead, mentor, and grow a team of Developers and DevOps engineers, fostering a culture of ownership, accountability, and continuous improvement.
Provide technical leadership in Cloud Platform development, architectural uplift, security (IAM), monitoring, public cloud infrastructure (AWS, GCP, Azure), and end-to-end platform solutions.
Drive the execution and delivery of features by collaborating with numerous cross-functional teams, architects, product owners, and engineering managers.
Contribute to strategic planning and define the long-term technical roadmap for the platform.
Make critical decisions that contribute to product success, proactively foreseeing and resolving issues before they arise.
Provide effective technical direction, ensuring sound architectural decisions are made.
Navigate complex people situations with empathy and clarity, consistently balancing team health and business goals.
Champion and guide the use and contribution to open-source technologies, with a clear strategy for integration, support, and ongoing community engagement.
Champion best practices in software development and Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC).
Requirements:
10+ years of industry experience, with 3+ years in a people leadership role managing successful software engineering teams.
Proven ability to manage stakeholders and relationships within a highly matrixed organizational structure.
Demonstrated experience leading programs, projects, and software services.
Proficiency in software development methodologies, technologies, and tools, with proven success in leading and delivering large-scale initiatives in collaboration with cross-functional teams.
