In this role, you will help evolve our SCM landscape and contribute to enabling developer productivity through new AI platforms and tools.Responsibilities<ul><li>Design and implement tools, processes, and strategies to continuously improve Git services.</li><li>Manage large-scale, cloud-hosted DVCS, including configuration, deployment, auto-scaling, monitoring, tuning, and multi-region disaster recovery.</li><li>Implement DVCS access models to meet operational and security compliance.</li><li>Leverage DVCS features to maximize developer productivity and integrate with CI systems.</li><li>Collaborate with Engineering and Infrastructure teams to maintain high availability of critical systems.</li><li>Perform infrastructure administration, including regular patching and maintenance for compliance.</li><li>Apply architectural knowledge to improve system scale and performance.</li><li>Manage backup and restore processes to ensure data integrity and business continuity.</li><li>Engage with users as a trusted evangelist to drive the evolution of SCM tools.</li><li>Support release processes and participate in an on-call rotation.</li><li>Provide technical guidance while working effectively across multiple teams.</li></ul>Required Qualifications: <ul><li>3+ years of experience in DevOps or a similar role.</li><li>Strong working knowledge of SCM tools like GitHub as both an administrator and developer.</li><li>Solid understanding of configuring, deploying, and managing large cloud-hosted version control systems in AWS and/or Google Cloud.</li><li>Fluency in one or more scripting languages, such as Python and UNIX shell.</li><li>Fluency in object-oriented programming languages like Java.</li><li>Working knowledge of Infrastructure as Code (IaC) like Terraform.</li><li>Proven experience utilizing DVCS features for integrations with different systems.</li><li>Experience in modern CI/CD technologies such as Jenkins and building seamless integrations.</li><li>Domain expertise supporting services for engineering organizations.</li><li>In-depth, hands-on experience with Linux, networking, server, and cloud architectures for high-availability environments.</li><li>Experience with automation/configuration management tools.</li><li>Knowledge of tools like static/dynamic code analysis, code review, etc., and integrations with code repositories desired.</li><li>Strong communication skills (written and verbal).</li><li>A related technical degree required.</li></ul>Preferred Qualifications:<ul><li>Experience with Agile methodologies.</li><li>Experience with enterprise monitoring systems (e.g., Splunk).</li></ul>Unleash Your PotentialWhen you join Salesforce, you’ll be limitless in all areas of your life.
