The Salesforce Ventures Impact Fund, a strategy within Salesforce Ventures, focuses on enterprise software companies in the following verticals: climate tech, workforce and education, financial inclusion, and digital health.
Position Description
The Salesforce Ventures Impact Fund is looking to hire a Senior Analyst to join their investment team in San Francisco. This role will support all aspects of the fund, including: (i) sourcing new investment opportunities; (ii) due diligence and deal execution; (iii) portfolio management and related administration tasks; and (iv) collecting and reporting on impact metrics. In this position, you’ll have an exciting opportunity to contribute to a growing and meaningful impact investing portfolio.
Primary Responsibilities
* Research and conduct outreach to prospective investment opportunities to build a robust pipeline
* Assist team in all aspects of deal execution, including analysis of company’s operating performance, market diligence and competitive analysis, investment committee materials preparation, etc.
* Monitor, research, and develop market intelligence and investment themes on emerging trends and disruptive companies across the Impact Fund’s focus areas
* Build and develop your network via relationships with venture capitalists, investment bankers, and entrepreneurs for potential investment opportunities
* Assist with quarterly and annual reporting processes for existing portfolio
* Assist in planning programs and events to promote the Salesforce Ventures Impact Fund and convene portfolio companies, investors, and others in the ecosystem
* Build presentations for internal senior management as well as external audiences
Basic Requirements
* 1-2 years of work experience
* Excellent analytical and financial analysis skills, as well as the ability to think critically and creatively
* Excellent writing and presentation skills and an ability to communicate succinctly and clearly
* Ability to organize and advance projects and prioritize and manage deadlines in a fast-paced environment
* Ability to work cross-functionally within a dynamic, high growth organization
* Ability to work on a global team both in person and virtually
* Ability to handle sensitive related and proprietary information in a confidential manner
* Strong Excel and PowerPoint skills
* High level of energy, enthusiasm, and commitment to success
* Passion for social and environmental impact, ideally demonstrated through educational studies and/or work experience
Note: This role is Office-Flexible, with the expectation that you will work in-person at the Salesforce San Francisco office three days per week.
