Were looking for an experienced writer for the Technology Content Experience team. We work closely with the product leadership, service owners, and engineers who build AI-powered products for Agentforce, onboard services to our Hyperforce infrastructure, secure our technology, and empower product and people operations. We partner with our training and agility teams to drive an empowered, fast-paced, and innovative developer experience. We share ownership of our tooling and have a robust content strategy that informs our various content types. We deliver effective content via multiple delivery mechanisms, including and not limited to MD/Git, Confluence, newsletters, and Slack canvases! This role will focus on documenting the AI tools of choice at Salesforce. You’ll partner with the Developer Experience leadership to evaluate and support in-house and third-party AI tools and infrastructure onboarding guides that boost developer productivity. You’ll create playbooks, guides, and other necessary content in partnership with our training organization.
 

This role will require you to put on a consulting hat, use every single thing you’ve learned about content, and deliver content enablement solutions that drive innovation at Salesforce. If this excites you, come talk to us.
 

Required Experience/Skills

  • 8-10+ years of experience documenting software for technical and engineering audiences

  • Ability to write clean, concise, and approachable content

  • Experience with infrastructure, service, or Dev Ops documentation

  • Excellent project management skills

  • Excellent stakeholder management skills

  • Experience juggling multiple priorities, defining scope where ambiguous, and setting and managing expectations with content and engineering stakeholders

  • Ability to self-manage and self-prioritize and get alignment

  • Ability to create process flow and database architecture diagrams

  • Proven ability to craft content for end users

  • Ability to quickly learn complex technologies

  • High standards of quality and attention to detail

  • Experience with common authoring tools and source control software such as Perforce/git

  • Excellent problem solver

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

  • Strong advocate for the customer

  • Experience working in an Agile development environment
     

Desired Experience/Skills

  • Background in infrastructure and dev ops documentation; familiarity with AWS/Google Cloud/Azure service documentation

  • Working knowledge of Markdown/Git and docs-as-code paradigm

  • Ability to read, understand, and build short code samples in a variety of programming languages

  • Past experience with a cloud-based service provider is a plus

  • Programming experience

  • A technical background and a desire to use AI to expedite content creation and reviews

For Washington-based roles, the base salary hiring range for this position is $155,400 to $213,800.

For California-based roles, the base salary hiring range for this position is $169,600 to $233,200.
