We’re hiring a Manager – Portfolio Forecasting to help drive some of the company’s most critical processes and support SageSure leaders in overall carrier portfolio management.   This high-impact role sits within the Carrier Operations team, which reports in through the Office of the CEO. In this position you’ll combine strong analytical and technical expertise with functional leadership to deliver high-quality financial projections and portfolio insights. This is a unique opportunity to further shape portfolio forecasting best practices while working closely with senior leadership on portfolio strategy.    What you’d be doing:  Forecasting Leadership  <ul> <li>Own the end-to-end carrier portfolio premium and exposure forecasting processes leveraging a Python and SQL-based simulation model </li> </ul> <ul> <li>Collaborate with Portfolio Managers and Business Unit Leaders to align forecasting assumptions with evolving product strategies and market plans </li> </ul> <ul> <li>Analyze actual portfolio performance across a range of KPIs to monitor business outcomes  </li> </ul> <ul> <li>Draft and deliver executive summaries for Senior Leadership on actual and projected results  </li> </ul> <ul> <li>Manage and mentor analyst staff supporting forecasting and performance analysis activities  </li> </ul>   Strategic &amp; Ad Hoc Support  <ul> <li>Generate insights on risk, exposure, and market positioning to guide strategic decision-making </li> </ul> <ul> <li>Assist in the development of board materials, external carrier portfolio reviews, and investor presentations as needed </li> </ul> <ul> <li>Partner cross-functionally to support financial modeling, due diligence efforts, and key business initiatives </li> </ul>   Process &amp; Tool Enhancements  <ul> <li>Collaborate with the Senior Manager of Carrier Operations and internal software teams to improve and further scale forecasting capabilities  </li> </ul> <ul> <li>Drive further automation of existing procedures through process enhancements or creation/procurement of additional tooling </li> </ul> <ul> <li>Design and manage DOMO-based applications supporting portfolio performance tracking </li> </ul> <ul> <li>Develop and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs) for all aspects of the portfolio projections process  </li> </ul>   We’re looking for someone who has:  <ul> <li>Bachelor’s degree in computer science, data science, actuarial science, statistics, finance, or a related field </li> </ul> <ul> <li>5+ years of experience in financial analysis, forecasting, or related functions—preferably within insurance or reinsurance. </li> </ul> <ul> <li>Strong command of Python, SQL, Excel, VBA, Alteryx, and data visualization tools (e.g., DOMO, Tableau, Power BI) </li> </ul> <ul> <li>Experience building and maintaining complex forecasting models </li> </ul> <ul> <li>Strong knowledge of P&amp;C insurance concepts  </li> </ul> <ul> <li>Proven leadership skills with the ability to develop talent and foster collaboration in a high-performance environment </li> </ul> <ul> <li>Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills </li> </ul>   Highly preferred candidates also have:  <ul> <li>Master’s degree in a relevant discipline </li> </ul> <ul> <li>Professional certifications such as ARe or CPCU </li> </ul> <ul> <li>Familiarity with general data management principles  </li> </ul><div>About SageSure:   Named among the Best Places to Work in Insurance by Business Insurance for four years in a row (2020-2023), SageSure is one of the largest managing general underwriters (MGU) focused on catastrophe-exposed markets in the US.
