OVERVIEW  The SageSure Brand &amp; Creative team is looking for a strategic and experienced Copy Lead to spearhead the ideation and creation of compelling, results-driven marketing copy. From marketing campaigns, executive presentations, and annual reports to printed sales materials, video scripting, and direct mail, you’ll be responsible for writing B2B and B2B2C content that translates complex ideas into simple and accessible messages for our various audiences.     The ideal candidate is passionate about research and analysis and stays up to date on industry data, trends, and competitor communication techniques to inform their copy decisions. In addition to writing responsibilities, the Copy Lead will participate in high-level brand strategy and campaign ideation, cross-collaborating with various teams to ensure that our messaging is consistent, accurate, and impactful.    In partnership with the Creative Director and Senior Director, Brand Marketing &amp; Creative, you’ll regularly offer your strategic perspective to the creative process, act as a creative lead to others on your immediate team, drive innovative solutions to challenges, and develop credibility with your engaging and illuminating words—all in a uniquely SageSure voice.  Key Responsibilities  <ul> <li>Research and prepare written copy for various marketing channels and programs, including emails, direct mail, website copy, press releases, articles, scripts, social media content, and more. </li> <li>Collaborate with Creative Director, designers, writers, editor, brand manager, and cross-functionally with project leads and SMEs.  </li> <li>Understand and translate product differentiation and market strategy into impactful copy.  </li> <li>Contribute to the development of and ensure adherence to our style guide. </li> <li>Conduct competitive analyses of marketing campaigns and research industry data and trends to inform copy development. </li> <li>Forecast and plan for future copy needs for marketing initiatives. </li> <li>Participate in high-level brand strategy and campaign ideation. </li> <li>Provide guidance to Brand &amp; Creative team and Go-To-Market team on copywriting best practices. </li> </ul> Skills &amp; Experience  <ul> <li>Ability to understand and communicate complex concepts in both short-form and long-form copy. </li> <li>Unmatched ability to tailor messaging and tone for the channel, objective, and audience. </li> <li>10 years of copywriting or editorial experience in an advertising, communications, or marketing environment; digital experience is required. </li> <li>Excellent research and analytical skills; ability to transfer and synthesize findings to develop copy strategy. </li> <li>Strong collaboration and mentorship skills, with a passion for sharing subject matter expertise. </li> <li>Ability to provide strategic and critical analysis; ability to spot gaps in strategy and bring the right people together to bridge it. </li> <li>Strong command of vocabulary, grammar, and mechanics.  </li> <li>Excellent editing and proofreading capabilities. </li> <li>Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines. </li> <li>Willingness to embrace change and adapt strategies as needed. </li> <li>Self-motivated and adept at taking ambiguous requests, identifying the need and scope, and translating it into a project. </li> <li>Experience collaborating with legal/compliance teams to review content. </li> <li>Intermediate experience collaborating in Figma. </li> </ul> Highly Preferred Skills  <ul> <li>Undergraduate degree in English, creative writing, marketing, journalism, communications, or a related field. </li> <li>Experience writing about insurance or reinsurance preferred.  </li> <li>Advanced knowledge of email best practices. </li> <li>Experience with A/B testing. </li> <li>A solid knowledge of UX copywriting best practices. </li> </ul> Please provide relevant work samples via a PDF or a web link to your portfolio.
