This role involves supporting a variety of programmes and R&amp;D initiatives, while contributing to the growth of our engineering capability—a key driver of the business’s strategic expansion.Based at our Harlow site on a hybrid working model (3 days on-site), you will report directly to the ATMS Senior Engineering Manager.As the Systems Engineering Manager, you will lead the systems engineering team, overseeing resource allocation and providing technical leadership across a diverse portfolio of military and civil projects worldwide. Designed and manufactured in the UK, our products are exported globally to RTX customers in more than 45 countries.Responsibilities <ul><li>Accountable manager for the ATMS System Engineering team (12 Systems Engineers) supporting all programmes</li><li>Leading preparation of technical proposals in responses to bids</li><li>Leading requirements analysis and management tasks – from capturing customer requirements to developing requirement sets for sub-systems &amp; suppliers</li><li>Leading systems design and development tasks – working both internally and closely with the existing supply chain and strategic partnerships to develop technical solutions</li><li>Leading systems integration, verification and validation tasks – from developing sub-system level test specifications, through to generating compliance matrices to allow sign-off of top-level systems for delivery</li><li>Defining the systems capabilities aspects of the APNT technology and product roadmaps</li></ul>Required Experience <ul><li>Degree in an engineering (or related) subject</li><li>Experience in accountability for and management of a systems engineering team across the product development lifecycle</li><li>Experience in workload management and dynamic tasking across several projects for the systems function</li><li>Experience in developing systems engineering capabilities across programmes and staffing experience levels</li><li>Proven stakeholder management skills</li><li>Outstanding analytical and problem-solving skills</li><li>Willingness to travel throughout UK, Europe and the US</li><li>Eligible for BPSS and SC clearance levels</li></ul>Desirable<ul><li>Surveillance radar domain knowledge and/or experience</li><li>Experience in systems modelling approaches and simulation</li><li>Knowledge of the certification process as part of the overall system lifecycle</li></ul>Benefits and Work Culture<ul><li>Early finish Fridays, with a 37 hr working week</li><li>Flexible working culture focused on output, with more formal flexible working arrangements on request (assessed subject to role) - please highlight any requests to the Talent Acquisition team.</li><li>Competitive salaries</li><li>25 days holiday, increasing with service, + statutory public holidays, plus opportunity to buy and sell up to 5 days</li><li>Up to 5 paid days volunteering each year</li><li>Contributory Pension Scheme (up to 10.5% company contribution)</li><li>Company bonus scheme (discretionary)</li><li>6 times salary ‘Life Assurance’ with pension</li><li>Flexible Benefits scheme with extensive salary sacrifice schemes, including Health Cashplan, Dental, and Cycle to Work amongst others</li><li>Enhanced sick pay</li><li>Enhanced family friendly policies including enhanced maternity, paternity &amp; shared parental leave</li><li>Private Medical Insurance</li></ul>RTX Raytheon UK is a landed company and part of the wider RTX organisation.
