Life Cycle Engineering (LCE) is responsible for ensuring our products are Safe, Reliable, Maintainable and delivered on time. Life Cycle Engineering consists of multiple disciplines that support engineering, our program offices and our customers. Our Life Cycle Engineering disciplines participate in the total life cycle of our products from conception to deactivation. Our focus area is product support, including the following disciplines: Reliability, System Safety, and Supportability.
We are seeking a Senior Principal Engineer to lead our missile operations:
- As a Senior Principal General Engineer, youll be at the forefront of providing data-driven solutions and crucial training to our customers.
- This role is responsible to lead a team of RTX engineers, both on-site at LEAD and remotely, to meet a demanding monthly missile reassembly schedule and resolve complex technical challenges.
- Lead and direct a team of engineers and program personnel, ensuring the seamless coordination of missile operations and test requirements to achieve customer satisfaction and meet stringent production demands.
- Serve as the primary liaison between engineering organizations and US Government customers, driving on-site issue resolution to consistently achieve monthly production commitments.
What You Will Do:
- As a leader within this role you will be assigning tasks, mentoring team members, fostering a collaborative environment, and ensuring adherence to best practices.
- Youll also be vital in coordinating across supply chain, engineering, program management, and our customers to ensure seamless operations. This coordination specifically involves scheduling facility workload, prioritizing tasks based on program needs and material availability, and proactively identifying and mitigating potential delays to maintain the reassembly cadence.
- Regular collaboration with and utilization of the US Army civilian workforce at LEAD is essential, as is providing high-level updates to both internal and external leadership.
- This role encompasses a broad spectrum of technical subjects, including electrical, electromechanical, mechanical, hydraulic, energy, and test systems.
- Oversee and guide depot technical personnel, providing expert problem-solving for complex technical challenges related to scope, budget, and schedule.
- Drive continuous improvement by proposing strategic hardware and software modifications for depot test equipment and procedures, addressing obsolescence and implementing critical upgrades/updates.
- Develop and deliver comprehensive training programs for depot personnel on upgraded equipment, enhancing operational efficiency and technical proficiency.
Qualifications You Must Have:
- Typically requires: A University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 10 years prior relevant experience, or An Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 7 years experience.
- Experience working with test stations and/ or an operations environment.
- Active and transferable US Government issued security clearance is required prior to start date. US Citizenship is required, as only US citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
Qualifications We Prefer:
- Ability to lead a team through multiple technical projects and customer requests in a fast-paced operations environment.
- Develop technical presentations to large audiences including the U.S. and Foreign Military Sales (FMS) customers.
- Experience with System assembly, disassembly and test.
- Experience managing technical scope, budget & schedule of greater than $3M
- Earned Value Management System (EVMS) certified.
- Hands on experience with energetics hardware and test equipment.

The salary range for this role is 124,000 USD - 250,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
