The position is based in Tucson, AZ and requires onsite presence. The quality engineer responsibilities include but are not limited to the following in the next section.What You Will Do:<ul><li>Verify product and process compliance with respect to contractual, technical, industry, AS9100 Quality Management System (QMS) requirements and internal policies</li><li>Regularly generate and publish Cost of Poor Quality (COPQ) metrics</li><li>Facilitate and lead cross-functional team in failure analysis, Root Cause and Corrective Action (RCCA) investigations, including identifying non-conformances, providing solutions, tracking issues to closure and leading Corrective Action Boards (CAB)</li><li>Ensure identification, physical control, and disposition of non-conforming material and facilitate Material Review Board (MRB) when necessary</li><li>Support work instruction development and maintenance activities by reviewing work instructions, test instructions, auditing processes, and assuring configuration management</li><li>Development and maintenance of inspection instructions, ensuring inspection instructions meet the technical data package requirements and meet production needs</li><li>Regularly interface with Defense Contract Management Agency (DCMA)</li><li>Daily status meetings with the factory support, factory management, hourly employees, and internal stakeholders to manage issue</li><li>Conduct weekly meetings to help reduce cost of poor quality and facilitate timely red rack dispositions</li></ul>Qualifications You Must Have:<ul><li>Typically requires a Bachelor’s degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) and five (5) years of experience in related Quality, Operations, Engineering, or related discipline</li><li>Experience in supporting design and/or manufacturing process</li><li>Manufacturing process experience in one of the following: (assembly, inspection, test)</li><li>Experience reading/interpreting engineering drawings, work instructions, Bill of Materials (BOMs), consumable materials control, process disciplines and tool control</li><li>The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required.
