Using complex algorithms, they process all of the bits and bytes received and turn them into useable information for the end users who consume this data. As the volume of data grows, ground stations need to evolve and adapt. In this role you will work onsite with a team of skilled Software Engineers developing Satellite Ground Stations Software in Java, C++, and Python.What You Will Do<ul><li>Develop and maintain Java, C++, and Python based applications for satellite ground systems.</li><li>Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and implement robust server-side solutions.</li><li>Modify and improve existing codebases for enhanced performance and scalability.</li><li>Conduct software design and code reviews, integrating best practices and innovations.</li><li>Contribute to all phases of the software development lifecycle, ensuring adherence to Agile principles.</li><li>Participate in system integration and project milestone completion under guidance from supervisors.</li><li>Keep abreast of advancements in Java and related technologies to drive continuous innovation.</li></ul>What You Will Learn<ul><li>Modern DevOps and Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery techniques.</li><li>Software lifecycle practices for defense projects.</li><li>The importance and workings of satellite ground systems.</li></ul>Qualifications You Must Have<ul><li>Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and five (5) years of relevant software engineering experience.</li><li>Experience with Java, C++ or Python software development in a Linux environment.</li><li>Active and transferable U.S. government issued Secret security clearance is required prior to start date.
