Our team solves tough, meaningful problems that create a safer, more secure world.The Raytheon team is looking for a Sr DevSecOps (DSO) Engineer to support our radar programs and the Missile Defense Sensors (MDS) Software (SW) Department.  The MDS SW mission is to provide world class Radar and Command and Control (C2) Software for our customers’ wide array of Surveillance and Warning Systems. Some of the programs our department supports include NASAMS (NASAMS | Raytheon), and Air Defense Operations Center (ADOC).The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in agile methodologies and DevSecOps. They will have a strong background in pipelines and tooling, and the ability to work 100% onsite and collaboratively with a team.The job location for this opportunity is in Tewksbury, Massachusetts.What You Will Do<ul><li>Work on an agile team responsible for developing and delivering software for one of the MDS Department’s programs.</li></ul>Specific responsibilities include:<ul><li>Design, develop, and test software in an agile, collaborative environment.</li><li>Debug existing software and correct defects.</li><li>Provide specific input to the software components of system design to include hardware/software trade-offs, software reuse, use of Commercial Off-the-shelf (COTS) in place of new development, and requirements analysis and synthesis from system level to individual software components.</li><li>Implement recommendations for improving documentation and software build process standards.</li></ul>Qualifications You Must Have<ul><li>Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 5 years of prior relevant experience.</li><li>Experience in software build deployments, containerization methodologies (e.g. Docker/Kubernetes), and Infrastructure as Code (e.g. Ansible, Terraform).</li><li>Experience developing software in a team-based development environment using the Agile Scrum or Kanban framework</li><li>Active and transferable U.S. government issued security clearance is required prior to start date, U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.</li></ul>Qualifications We Prefer<ul><li>Experience with agile management tools (e.g., JIRA, Confluence).</li><li>Experience with DevSecOps tools and platforms (Docker, Ansible Tower, Artifactory, GitHub/BitBucket).</li><li>Proven experience leading an engineering team, preferably using the Agile Scrum or Kanban framework.</li><li>Proven ability to interface with customers and lead technical solutions to complex user requirements.</li><li>Well-developed communication, technical writing, oral presentation, and interpersonal skills.</li><li>Exposure to radar software development and/or radar concepts.</li><li>Proven experience with current Missile defense programs with specific experience in large, complex systems.</li><li>Ability to work in a fast paced, dynamic environment with time-critical requirements.</li><li>Experience contributing in a team environment for the purpose of developing creative solutions to technical problems.</li><li>Ability to prioritize and make data-driven decisions.</li><li>Ability to promote a culture of continuous learning, cross-team collaboration and training.</li><li>Excellent communication, oral presentation, and interpersonal skills.</li></ul>What We Offer<ul><li>Our values drive our actions, behaviors, and performance with a vision for a safer, more connected world.
