Raytheon is seeking a talented and motivated Systems Engineer to join our team within the Systems Engineering and Test Capabilities (SETC) Discipline, supporting a range of sensor and effectors programs such as Patriot, LTAMDS, SPY-6, and SM-2.  This role offers a unique opportunity to work across the full lifecycle of the product, from concept to deployment.Every day will bring new challenges, requiring you to collaborate across disciplines to troubleshoot issues, perform data analysis, and implement solutions. Your contributions will directly impact the success of mission-critical defense systems, and youll have a hands-on role in ensuring the entire system functions seamlessly.What You Will DoIn this Systems Engineer role, you will support the following types of activities:<ul><li>Core Systems Engineering: Develop requirements and algorithms, concepts of operations, and define system interfaces.</li><li>Lead Testing Efforts: Develop and implement test plans, procedures, integration, and verification documentation in both simulated and real-world environments.</li><li>Troubleshoot and Analyze: Identify and resolve hardware, software, and system issues through detailed data analysis and debugging.</li><li>Drive Performance: Collaborate across functions to drive performance improvements and resolve system issues.</li><li>Modeling and Simulation: Develop and execute models to predict system performance and support verification and validation.</li><li>Integrate Systems: Integrate hardware and software into tactical systems, evaluating their functionality and impact.</li><li>Collaborate and Lead: Work with and lead a multi-disciplinary team to achieve seamless integration and system functionality.</li><li>Document and Communicate: Develop integration documentation, execute plans, analyze data, verify requirements and effectively communicate results to leadership and stakeholders.</li><li>Perform Data Analysis: Conduct statistical and numerical analysis of radar performance data to ensure optimal system performance and verify requirements.</li><li>Present Findings: Present technical findings and solutions to leadership and customers.</li><li>Support Missions: Travel as needed (up to 20%) to support mission execution at various locations including local RTX facilities, test sites, vendor facilities, and customer locations.</li><li>This role can be based out of Andover, MA or Tewksbury, MA.</li></ul>Qualifications You Must Have <ul><li>Typically requires a Bachelor’s in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 8 years of prior engineering experience.</li><li>Experience with systems software, systems hardware, systems requirements, systems integration, and/or systems test.</li><li>The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required.
