The Mission Capability and Verification Center (MCVC) located on White Sands Missile Range, NM is searching for a qualified Systems Engineer to join the team. They will provide support to the Mobile Flight Mission Simulator (MFMS) hardware, operations, integration, test, and evaluation.
What You Will Do
- Conduct system interface, monitoring, analysis, troubleshooting, repair, modifications, and verification to ensure operational equipment performance.
- Perform calibrations of the system hardware to ensure systems are within tolerance for critical real-time operations.
- Provide quick resolution of system problems/failures that occur during operations.
- Analyze radar and MFMS data test results and data collection activities.
- May require long hours and/or weekend work, travel for periods of time between domestic locations and to remote sites in support of program requirements.
- Ability to work in remote and hazardous location.
- Ability to work in a team environment, multi-task, work under stress, and be flexible to support across multiple disciplines.
- Ability to work outdoors under all various weather conditions, primarily for setup and tear down of equipment.
- Exposure to energized equipment, radar radiation hazards, and unexploded ordnance hazards.
Qualifications You Must Have
- Typically requires Bachelor’s in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 2 years of prior engineering experience.
- Experience with intermediate frequency (IF), RF equipment (RF), and/or IHawk computer.
- Experience with UNIX and/or Linux.
- Experience with instrumentation, and/or test equipment, i.e (oscilloscope, multi-meter and/or spectrum analyzer)
- Active and transferable U.S. government issued security clearance is required prior to start date. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
Qualifications We Prefer
- Knowledge of radar hardware concepts, RF systems, troubleshooting, and reading/utilizing hardware schematics.
- Familiarity with Electronic Countermeasures (ECM).
- Thorough knowledge of analog/digital hardware design and related firmware.
