This is where you and your skills come in. As a UX Manager for our Contact Center product, RingCX, you will be involved in our design processes and the creation of innovative new features that will take our product to the next level. You will be working in a highly collaborative environment with designers, product managers, engineers, and executive stakeholders. You will be responsible for managing the work of the UX design team by providing regular feedback sessions, helping clarify ambiguous requirements, breaking projects down into reasonable phases, managing delivery dates and timelines. You will become an expert in the contact center industry and you will track and report on the latest industry trends and innovations.
Role & Responsibilities:
Lead and mentor a team of UX Designers, fostering their design skills and ensuring high-quality deliverables.
Conduct regular 1:1 meetings with UX Designers to provide guidance, support, and make sure projects are on track.
Facilitate weekly peer review design critique sessions, promoting collaboration and ensuring design consistency and excellence.
Provide initial iterative feedback on mockups and prototypes, ensuring alignment with user needs, business goals, and technical feasibility.
Manage and maintain project tracking within Jira, ensuring accurate and up-to-date information on design tasks and progress.
Participate in quarterly planning processes, contributing UX perspectives and ensuring design alignment with product roadmaps.
Organize and facilitate team retrospectives to identify areas for improvement in processes and collaboration.
Drive process improvements within the UX team to enhance efficiency, quality, and collaboration.
Collaborate closely with Product Managers, Engineering Leads, and other stakeholders to define product vision, strategy, and user experience requirements.
Champion a user-centered design process within the organization, advocating for user research and usability testing.
Contribute to the development and maintenance of design systems and UI guidelines to ensure a cohesive and scalable user experience.
Communicate design rationale and user insights effectively to cross-functional teams.
Contribute to the growth and culture of the UX team.
Proactively identify and address potential roadblocks or challenges within design projects.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree or higher in Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), Visual Communication Design, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
Minimum of 10 years of experience in digital product design, with at least 3 years in a management or team lead role.
Strong portfolio showcasing user-centered design processes and problem-solving skills.
Proven ability to provide constructive and actionable feedback on design work.
Experience conducting effective 1:1 meetings and fostering designer growth.
Demonstrated experience facilitating design critiques and fostering a collaborative design environment.
Proficiency in using Jira for project tracking and workflow management.
Experience participating in agile development processes, including quarterly planning and retrospectives.
Understanding of user-centered design principles and methodologies.
Excellent communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work effectively with cross-functional, remote teams.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience working in a medium to large UX organization.
Experience designing SaaS products for a B2B company.
Experience in the Contact Center industry.
Experience working on global and remote teams.
Experience with user research methodologies.
Strong understanding of design systems and their implementation.
Experience contributing to the development and implementation of UX processes.
Familiarity with Confluence or similar documentation tools.

If you are hired in Belmont, California, the compensation range for this position is between $172,000 and $215,000 for full-time employees, in addition to eligibility for variable pay, equity, and benefits. Benefits may include, but are not limited to, health and wellness, 401k, ESPP, vacation, parental leave, and more! The salary may vary depending on your location, skills, and experience.
