One RedwoodMake Your Own WeatherObsess over Customer SuccessWork the ProblemBe CuriousOwn the OutcomeRespect Each OtherYOUR IMPACTThe Corporate Reporting Senior Accountant is responsible for a wide range of corporate accounting functions, including the following:<ul><li>Debt accounting (ASC 470)</li><li>Accounting for intangibles, including goodwill (ASC 350)</li><li>Accounting for intercompany receivables and payables</li><li>Accounting for intercompany loans</li><li>Monthly and quarterly financial reporting</li><li>Accounting for business combinations (ASC 850)</li></ul>This role ensures compliance with regulatory requirements, provides guidance on complex accounting topics, and collaborates with cross-functional teams to support business goals while maintaining financial integrity.<ul><li>Analyze and interpret complex contracts to determine the appropriate accounting treatment.</li><li>Develop, implement, and monitor company policies governing the above areas of accounting.</li><li>Develop and maintain internal controls to ensure compliance with debt covenants.</li><li>Partner with legal and finance teams to review the accounting treatment of any proposed corporate transactions.</li><li>Develop internal controls to regularly settle intercompany balances.</li><li>Identify opportunities for process improvements related to corporate accounting functions.</li><li>Assist with the implementation of system enhancements within Workday related to financial reporting.</li><li>Assist in the preparation of monthly and quarterly financial reports to Redwood’s owners.  </li><li>Assist in preparation of monthly and quarterly financial data and support for audits, budgets, and other needs.</li><li>Assist with special projects and activities as requested.</li></ul>YOUR EXPERIENCE<ul><li>Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field of study.</li><li>Strong Technical understanding of ASC 470. </li><li>Experience in the software/ technology industry is preferred.</li><li>Ability to independently research complex accounting issues.</li><li>Ability to analyze information, formulate decisions / recommendations and bring closure to issues.</li><li>CPA certification preferred.</li><li>3-7 years of work experience, public accounting and software accounting experience preferred. </li></ul>If you like growth and working with happy, enthusiastic over-achievers, youll enjoy your career with us!THE LEGAL BIT Redwood is an equal opportunity employer.
