About the Job:
The Red Hat Sales team is looking for a Strategic Account Manager to join our North America Enterprise sales team in New York or New Jersey. In this role, you’ll expand Red Hat’s existing customer base, sell consulting services to encourage the fast adoption of Red Hats core solutions, and cross-sell all Red Hat’s offerings. As a Strategic Account Manager, you will work closely with individual product engineering, professional services, and product support teams to ensure an excellent customer experience with Red Hats offerings. Successful applicants must reside in a state where Red Hat is registered to do business. This is an individual contributor role.
What you will do:
Sell the complete Red Hat solutions portfolio, including professional services
Work closely with account solutions architects to identify key projects, programs, and offices to sell Red Hat’s solutions to
Advise senior IT and C-level executives within key accounts and create long-term partnerships with customers
Manage a complex sales cycle from prospecting to closing; maintain sustainable revenue across technologies
Develop new solutions strategies within key accounts to establish proofs of concepts and guide implementations of Red Hat’s solutions
Manage the account planning process and delivery of strategic plans
What you will bring:
8+ years of solutions sales experience
Solid understanding of the open source model, DevSecOps, and digital transformation
Experience working in a consultative customer engagement with a major enterprise software company or in the sales division of an enterprise software reseller
Excellent written and verbal communications skills, including experience presenting to C-level executives at large companies
Strong skills in developing executive narrative slideware with inputs from internal stakeholders
Strong program management and communication skills
Presentation skills including public speaking, meeting facilitation, and whiteboarding
Bachelor’s degree; Master’s degree in business administration is a plus
Ability to accommodate business travel for delivering customer engagements

The salary range for this position is $260,330.00 - $429,590.00 (inclusive of base pay + target incentive compensation). Actual offer will be based on your qualifications.Pay Transparency
Red Hat determines compensation based on several factors including but not limited to job location, experience, applicable skills and training, external market value, and internal pay equity. Annual salary is one component of Red Hat’s compensation package. This position may also be eligible for bonus, commission, and/or equity. For positions with Remote-US locations, the actual salary range for the position may differ based on location but will be commensurate with job duties and relevant work experience.
