You will work as part of an evolving development team to rapidly design, secure, build, test, and release new capabilities. The role is primarily an individual contributor who collaborates closely with other developers and cross-functional teams. You should have a passion for working in open-source communities and for developing solutions that integrate Red Hat, open-source, and partner technologies into a cohesive platform.What You Will Do<h2></h2><ul><li>Contribute to the architecture, design, development, and testing of new features and solutions for RHOAI</li><li>Contribute to cutting edge technologies, and emerging technologies like model context protocol (MCP)</li><li>Ensure non-functional requirements including security, resiliency, and maintainability are met</li><li>Write unit and integration tests and work with quality engineers to ensure product quality</li><li>Contribute to a culture of continuous improvement by sharing recommendations and technical knowledge with team members</li><li>Collaborate with product management, other engineering and cross-functional teams to analyze and clarify business requirements</li><li>Communicate effectively to stakeholders and team members to ensure proper visibility of development efforts</li><li>Proactively utilize AI-assisted development tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot, Cursor, Claude Code) for code generation, auto-completion, and intelligent suggestions to accelerate development cycles and enhance code quality.</li><li>Own the implementation, upstream contribution, and open source legacy of these cutting edge technologies</li><li>Innovate in the MLOps domain by participating in upstream communities (Kubeflow, MlMD, llama-stack)</li></ul><h2>What You Will Bring</h2><ul><li>2+ years of experience developing applications in Go or Python, or other language</li><li>Experience in Kubernetes, OpenShift or other cloud-native technologies</li><li>Ability to quickly learn and use new tools and technologies</li><li>Experience with source code management tools such as Git</li><li>Good system understanding and troubleshooting capabilities</li><li>Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment</li><li>Excellent written and verbal communication skills</li></ul>The following is considered a plus:<ul><li>Bachelor’s degree or higher in computer science or a related discipline, or equivalent experience</li><li>Understanding of how Open Source and Free Software communities work</li><li>Experience with development for public cloud services (AWS, GCE, Azure)</li><li>Experience working with or deploying MLOps platforms</li></ul>The salary range for this position is $108,760.00 - $173,800.00. Actual offer will be based on your qualifications.Pay TransparencyRed Hat determines compensation based on several factors including but not limited to job location, experience, applicable skills and training, external market value, and internal pay equity. Annual salary is one component of Red Hat’s compensation package. This position may also be eligible for bonus, commission, and/or equity.
