The Red Hat Services Consulting team is adding a Senior Architect with a background in enterprise infrastructure technologies to join us remotely in the U.S.In this role, you’ll drive the adoption of Red Hat’s solutions at key accounts. You’ll engage both remotely and on-site to build trust with engineering, operations, and development teams by aligning their requirements with the real-world capabilities of our technologies.What you will do:<ul><li>Collaborate with project and customer team members to meet timelines and goals</li><li>Contribute to project documentation and diagrams, including quality assurance (QA) and ticket and bug management</li><li>Mentor and share knowledge with customers</li><li>Work with senior associates to guide the adoption of automation techniques and DevOps processes to improve the cloud life cycle, including infrastructure and application uptime, availability, and time-to-market</li><li>Design and advocate solutions using cloud technologies, design principles, integration points, and automation methods</li></ul>What you will bring:<ul><li>8+ years in a related technology position, e.g., sales, consulting, operations, development, etc</li><li>5+ years of experience with Public Cloud and Linux technologies</li><li>3+ years of experience with automation frameworks and tools like Puppet, Chef, Salt, or Red Hat Ansible Automation Platform</li><li>3+ years of experience with Red Hat OpenShift Container Platform or Kubernetes </li></ul>Nice to have:<ul><li>Thorough knowledge of network functions virtualization (NFV),  cloud software-defined networking (SDN) or storage disciplines, and DevOps models and technologies</li><li>Experience with storage systems like FiberChannel (and/or FCOE), iSCSI, or other Software Defined Storage technologies.</li><li>Extensive experience with Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) administration and design</li><li>Virtualization platforms utilizing KVM, QEMU, OpenStack, OpenShift Virtualization</li><li>Experience with AppDev automation and pipelines. Technology like Jenkins, Tekton, ArgoCD, etc</li><li>Experience with networking technologies including VLANs, routing protocols, IPAM solutions, and Load Balancers. Technology like Infoblox TCPWave, F5, etc</li><li>Experience in designing and delivering implementations using various public and private cloud infrastructure technologies and providers</li><li>Knowledge of Virtualization technologies such as KVM, Physical-2-Virt, and Virt-v2v.</li><li>Broad and deep technical experience with VMware ESXi software, including vCenter, and VM lifecycle operations using VMware tools preferred.</li><li>Interest and knowledge in AI/ML technologies and recent developments. AUser-level </li><li>Admin-level familiarity with vSphere, RHV, or OpenStack</li><li>VMware infrastructure, including ESX, Vcenter, [S/DV]Switches/NSX, Datastores, vSAN, vVols, vRealize, SRM, Backup software</li><li>Expert level with VMware VM foundational technologies for networks ([S/DV]Switches/NSX)</li><li>Expert level with VMware VM foundational technologies for storage (Datastores, vSAN, vVols)</li><li>Knowledge of common Add-Ons or third-party tools, including Aria/vRealize Suite, SRM, Backup software, and Performance tools)</li><li>Experience with technologies including OpenStack, Red Hat Virtualization, Microsoft Hyper-V, Amazon Web Services, and Microsoft Azure a plus</li><li>Experience with hyper-converged technologies like IBM Fusion, Nutanix, Dell Apex</li><li>Experience in Financial Services </li></ul>The salary range for this position is $131,420.00 - $216,870.00. Actual offer will be based on your qualifications.Pay TransparencyRed Hat determines compensation based on several factors including but not limited to job location, experience, applicable skills and training, external market value, and internal pay equity. Annual salary is one component of Red Hat’s compensation package. This position may also be eligible for bonus, commission, and/or equity.
